  1. My doctor likes to say, "If it hurts when you do that, don't do that!" Pain is a symptom that something is wrong. And as good as Yahoo Answer is within the community, diagnosis of pain causing activity is not its strong point. If you can't see a doctor, see a trainer or an experienced runner. Go slow. Because if you injure yourself you have to stop working out.

  2. It could be your shoes. It could be that the distance is too much for you to handle at this time. It could be peroneal tendonitis. It could be plantar fascitis. You could even have an extra bone in your foot causing the pain (I have this problem).

Without going to a doctor, there's not really much we can do to help you unfortunately.

  3. Try icing and stretching that part of your foot everyday. I also get pains on my foot sometimes but after a day it will usually go away and im good to go.
