  1. it is better to exchange it or return it if you can not figure how to get your work done thru it.

  2. exchange

  3. Alright, you need to make sure that the "clip" on the hose is in the open position ready to accept the adapter for airing up your sports equipment. Make sure to seat the adapter very firmly into the metal receptacle or it will not activate the little valve contained inside and allow the air to flow. Just press the needle adapter into where you would normally press it over a valve stem and move the lever into the "locked" position when the adapter is in there good, you may need to gently press the needle against a soft piece of wood or hard plastic to actuate the "valve" inside the metal "Clip" on the end of the hose before moving the lever to the "Lock" position, careful not to break the needle by pushing too hard!

If you cant get it to work with the needle adapter, try your pump on a bicycle tire and see if it works. If it does, you know your pump is good and the "Adapter" connection needs work or replacement. When the Needle adapter goes into the "Clip head"  it is simulating a "Valve Stem" and should allow air to pass unrestricted , maybe you out with the air flow pertaining to the connections? By the way, these are generally very good pumps, they are tough and last a long time if simply maintained with a little 3N1 oil and kept out of UV (Sunshine).

    Best regards!
