Football: English Premier League, Transfer Rumours for this seasons “Big Four”, Fabiano wants to win trophies

With the FIFA World Cup 2010 reaching its heights, the English League’s big guns and the ones who are fighting to come on top, are trying to find players that are talented enough for their team. The teams are trying to buy players after watching them play. Below are the rumours of transfers of players linked by the “big four” of the English league:

Chelsea:

Chelsea, the champions of the English league are not very keen about too many players in the transfer market. However, magazines report that they are linked with the Brazilian and Sevilla’s striker Luis Fabiano. Fabiano on the other hand has shown no sign whether he is involved in such a deal. Although, he said he is at an age where he wants to “win trophies”.

Manchester United:

Chile’s World Cup sensation, Alexis Sanchez has his eyes set on a move to the famous English club, Manchester United. A few magazines have reported that he would love to move to Manchester United and play for them. United, on the other hand, does not look keen to buy many players this year. However, Sanchez’s addition is going to shock the world. Moreover, the Daily Mail reported that the Mexican winger, Pablo Barrera could probably move from Pumas to Manchester United. United boss, Alex Ferguson has already spotted another Mexican talent, Javier Hernandez, and is going to sign him in this July. However, the move of Pablo Barrera is still a rumour.

Arsenal:

The Gunners, already in threat of losing their captain Cesc Fabregas, are trying to sign new players to make their squad strong enough to stay in the top four, at least. The gunners have had many problems dealing with injuries in the last season. They are reported to be in link with the French star Gorguff; who Arsene Wenger thinks would be “a perfect replacement for Cesc Fabregas.” Fabregas, however, is still in touch with Spanish giants, Barcelona.

The Arsenal defender William Gallas is going out of contract this summer; therefore, Panathinaikos and Paris Saint Germain and looking forward to sign him. But, they will have to battle it out as to who is going to sign him.

Arsenal is expected to complete signing Mark Shwarzer, the goalkeeper of Fulham, by the end of next week. Daily Mail reports the deal reaches about £3.5 million.

The big rumour of Arsenal signing the Everton defender Phil Jageilka has finally proven to be true. However, the Gunners have failed to strike a deal of £10 million, which was rejected by Everton.

Tottenham Hotspur:

Tottenham Hotspurs took the fourth position in the English Premier League. They need to strengthen their squad in case they want to win the league or even if they want to continue at this position. Redknapp is looking forward to buy many players this year.

The Daily Mail reported that Stephane Sessegnon could join the Spurs from Paris St. Germain in an £8 million deal. As much as this is a rumour, the truth is that he is going to be a pretty good addition to the squad.

Spurs have also joined the race to buy Sevilla’s star Luis Fabiano. Fabiano, lately, has been really impressive; even in the FIFA World Cup 2010. He is the star of Sevilla but he could not win much in the Spanish Club. Fabiano wants to score goals and end up in a club which win trophies. Spurs, however, do not attract the Brazilian striker because of their position in the Premier League.

The Mexican winger, Pablo Barrera, who is rumoured to be in touch with Manchester United, is also linked with the Spurs he could join them in the next season.

Daily Mail also reported that the Spurs are looking for a double swoop for Palermo duo Simon Kjaer and Edinson Cavani for a combined £28 million. The Spurs need to make this move to make their squad heavy enough for the next season. Next season in the English Premier League is going to be tougher; especially, when they are facing the very rich side Manchester City who are very fond of buying players.
