Cristiano Ronaldo:
A name that almost everyone knows when it comes down to football; Cristiano Ronaldo is definitely a player who made an impact in the footballing world and is definitely a legend of this era. The way he uses his pace and power to
out run the defenders and shoot the ball into the net, it is just simply fabulous to watch the “boy” play.
The young Portuguese striker started his career from the Portuguese club Andorinha but at that time he was too young to be recognized. He was then transferred to two other youth academies as his parents weren’t too sure where to
carve the talent out of him. Soon he joined the Portuguese club, Sporting and started to play in their youth academies. By performing fabulously for the youth team, he soon started to sit on the bench for the first team.
Even though he managed to stay in the club for two more years, Cristiano Ronaldo was seen scoring 3 times for the Portuguese side as he featured for 25 times. However, he was never a first team player for the club and always used
to come forward as a power substitute.
His talent was well recognized by the English side Manchester United and “sir” Alex Ferguson was the man who decided to buy the Portuguese talent. The Red Devils were famous for making big names like David Beckham, Eric Cantona
and even Ryan Giggs and George Best. Cristiano Ronaldo was given the number 7 jersey and it was reported by the striker that he started crying as he was able to win himself that number for such a big club.
Playing under Alex Ferguson was simply different for the striker and after winning the “young player of the English Premier League” award in the first year, Cristiano Ronaldo started to become a one man army for the English club.
Ronaldo’s pace and free kicks were simply unmatchable; however, his dream was to play for the Spanish side Real Madrid; a dream that came true for him as he later started to show the world what he was made of and he was taken in by the Spanish club.

the club as a record 80 million pounds deal was struck by the Spanish side Real Madrid and Manchester United agreed the fees as he went to the Spanish side with a 1 billion dollar buyout clause.
With Real Madrid, his first season was not “very” successful but he still managed to bag himself 33 goals in only 36 matches that he featured in. He was the only player who performed extraordinary well for the Spanish side even
though Sergio Ramos, Xabi Alonso and the Brazilian legend Kaka were playing alongside him.
