Football Gossip: Beckham sues In Touch magazine and Irma Nici over s*x claims
Just weeks after a magazine reported about David Beckham paying a hooker for her services, David has opted to take legal course against both, the magazine and the hooker.
The girl named, Irma Nici was last night served a legal writ by the Beckham’s legal team, a writ that could result in a 16 million pound fine on both the hooker and the magazine if her claims are proven to be false.
The girl last night tried to dodge the legal team’s attempts to serve the writ as she hid in a New York Hotel and then tried to flee the same hotel in her SUV.
Beckham’s legal team was smart as to put the legal papers under the girl’s car’s windscreen wiper, while she was caught in traffic on the road just adjacent to the hotel.
It still remains unclear whether the style of Beck’s team’s delivery is considered legal by the court of law but keeping this fact in mind the legal team also handed in the papers in person at Nici’s lawyer’s office in New York.
The call girl claimed that she and another hooker shared a threesome with the father of three but so far has been unable to back her claims with any concrete evidence.
The Ex-England and current LA Galaxy player has launched legal action over claims by the girl that she romped with the player in London and in Big apple back in 2007.
Such audacious were her claimed that she even said the she had arranged for another girl to join the pair for a kinky threesome and that Becks paid her 10000 USD for one night.
The story that broke the news was printed in the US magazine In Touch,
was full of inconsistencies.
David Beckham’s legal writ alleges libel, slander and intentional infliction of emotional distress against Nici and also accuses the girl for branding one of the most famous footballers on the planet as a cheat and a criminal.
The writ lambasts the defendants for accusing the player for risking the health of his wife Victoria by sleeping with a prostitute.
The Writ also demands a jury trial over the printing of allegations in the magazine, which was told about the allegations that they were untrue.
The writ names Bosnian Nici and the publisher of the magazine Bauer and its editor Michelle Lee as the defendants.
The whole legal writ comprises of 9 pages which has also been published in a leading tabloid in the UK
Bert Deixler is Beckham’s attorney for the case who claims that before the magazine had decided to publish the story, he had contacted the editor Michelle Lee and asked her not to go ahead with the publication of the story. As it was untrue but Ms Lee decided
to publish the story and has now landed all parties involved in hot waters.
Beckham’s attorney claims that his letter clearly asked the editor to back off the story. However, the magazine still decided to pursue the story and now finds itself against a 16 million USD lawsuits and judging by the stance taken by David Beckham and
his team it looks as if though Mr Beckham is right in his claims and the touch magazine and Irma Nici are in real troubled waters.
