I am a freshman kicker for a division 3 college football team. I did not know that college kickers kick off the ground since i recall some college kickers using a kicking block. much to my dismay i have to learn to kick off the ground. Now when i kick PATs or field goals, my range is suffering, and my height of the kick is really low. what are some things i can do to make my kicks go further and higher?

  1. see

    you

    go

    back

    15

    yards

    run

    up

    and

    kick

    it

    really

    hard

    easiest

    way

    to

    kick

    a

    ball

  2. Get your leg so high you come off the ground. Get lower on the ball. Mainly you just need more speed.

  3. You need to focus on leg speed. Take a look at how Dara Torrez used some new stretching techniques that enabled her to swim faster at age 41. She worked on her quick twitch muscles. Good luck!
