Football Manager 2012 tops the PC Sales chart in the United Kingdom
The latest charts paint a very promising picture for Sega and their latest instalment in their long running football management simulation title, Football Manager 2012, as the game debuted top of the PC gaming charts.
However, it was not the only game making a strong debut in the previous week.
10. The Sims: Medieval: Holding on for dear life and not wanting to let go off a top ten place is The Sims’ Medieval. Yet it seems that like with all things, the medieval days are nearing their end and one can expect to see one less Sims
title come this time next week.
9. The Sims 3: Late Night: Another Sims title in the top ten is Late Night, which is based around the hip and happening night life of gamers’ virtual selves. Yet, it seems that its time in the top flight is also nearing an end.
8. Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine: Another game on the decline and its way out of the top ten is THQ’s Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine. However, the publisher can take solace in the fact that the game managed to sell more than the target
they had set themselves in their title.
7. Might & Magic: Heroes VI: it may have debuted higher up in the charts but it seems that the success was short lived as the game has slipped a number of places since then. A fact that will be a cause for concern for its publisher Ubisoft.
6. Rage: receiving mixed reviews from critics and gamers alike, the game seems to have become a victim of its own hype and the post apocalyptic shooter has begun its slow slip down the charts.
5. The Sims 3: Generations: The third Sims title in the charts, Generations seems to be doing well for both itself and for Electronic Arts, its publisher. However, things are set to get better for EA for other reasons.
4. FIFA Manager 2012:  the title EA was hoping would compete with Sega’s Football Manager 2012 seems to have fallen short of its target as the game only managed to finish in fourth spot.
3. The Sims 3: the fourth Sims title in the charts, this particular game has been in the top three since the dawn of time, well almost. It continues its legacy as it stays in the top three for yet another seven days.
2. The Sims 3: Pets: setting a new record for the amount of Sims titles in the PC charts is the Sims: Pets, the latest expansion pack to the best selling game.
1. Football Manager 2012:  it seems a large number of Manchester United fans took to the stores and bought themselves a copy of the game just to see if they could do any better than Sir Alex Ferguson’s woeful Manchester United side against
their bitter rivals, Manchester City.
