Football News: Darren Fletcher urges to share goal load, Sir Alex Ferguson labels Mario Balotelli next Ronaldo and Luis Suarez to leave Ajax

Fletcher points out too much dependency on Wayne Rooney:

Midfielder Darren Fletcher has urged his fellow team mates to share Rooney’s burden of scoring goals and advised them to score goals themselves. He called for a team performance from the club, and claimed that this may well be the only way to win back the title back from Chelsea.

He stated that Rooney had lot of pressure to score goals last season, and although he fully coped with the pressure, other players may well have to score some goals in order to win the title once again. He pointed out that Rooney may not be there every time and may not score that many goals in the next season, and will want other players to step up and score to give United the boost needed to win games. He praised Nani and Antonio Valencia for improving well last season, even though they are young and pointed out that even veterans Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs looked to improve. He claimed that last season, United were undergoing a period of transition, as key players Cristiano Ronaldo and Carlos Tevez left the club, but confirmed that the players are working hard and have no one to blame. He added that things are expected to improve in the coming season.

Sir Alex Ferguson labels Mario Balotelli to be the next Cristiano Ronaldo:

Sir Alex Ferguson has been an admirer of Mario Balotelli and aims to covert the Inter Milan man into the next Ronaldo at Old Trafford. Reports have stated that both the Manchester’s are in a wage war for the player, and the player’s agent has claimed that City’s offer for the player was too low. Balotelli is just nineteen years of age, and having gained interests from such huge clubs, makes him a promising future star. He perhaps does posses the quality for Fergie labelling him with such a title, and both clubs are aiming to offer at least 30 million Euros for the nineteen year old. Inter Milan however may refuse as they price the striker at 40 million.

Suarez admits his current club may find it hard to keep him:

Luis Suarez made an instant impact in the 2010 FIFA World Cup, when he played for his side Uruguay. He and Diego Forlan formed a formidable partnership and guided their team to the semi final of the tournament. Many heavy weights such as Brazil, England, France and Italy failed to reach there, and it may be owing to the services of Suarez and Forlan.

He has therefore attracted interests from top clubs, including Manchester United, Spanish Champions, Barcelona and Champions League winners Inter Milan. Other clubs also fancy the striker, but these three have been strongly linked with him. Prior to his impressive World Cup performance, Suarez did not consider leaving his current club, but now has second thoughts. He however stated that he aims to go on a vacation after the World Cup and then see what transpires in the transfer market. He claimed that he did extremely well at the World Cup, and this will mean interest from top clubs. His current club will therefore come under pressure and may find it hard to keep him at bay. The 23 year old hit-man scored 3 goals in five matches in the World Cup and missed the semi finals against Netherlands owing to suspension. He will be back for the third place match against Germany, and will want to add more goals to his tally. He was also impressive for his club, scoring 49 goals in 48 appearances. He is the club captain and is one the most wanted players in Europe. He became an instant hero for his side, when he pushed the ball from his hands on the goal line. He got a straight red card for that, and the opposing team got a penalty. The opponents could not convert the penalty and Uruguay qualified for the semi finals.
