-West Bromwich Albion
West Bromwich Albion’s Manager, Roberto Di Matteo believes that the new signings of Marc-Antonine Fortune and Paul Scharner would provide his club with the much needed top flight knowledge as both these players have already featured in the Premier League before. They would strengthen the club’s spine and bring in quality and much needed experience.
-West Ham United
Valon Behrami expects himself to be part of West Ham United Manager Avram Grant’s plan for this season. Although, the winger had been in some talks with Roma during the transfer window but the deal never solidified. "Grant gave me his permission to speak with Roma but he also said he needs me, with West Ham being at the bottom of the table. I'm sure I'll still get to play for them", claimed Behrami.
-Wigan Athletic
Wigan Athletic’s Manager, Roberto Martinez has claimed that his squad’s team spirit will play an important role this season. Wigan showed much strength when they visited Spurs last weekend, defeating the Champions League side 1-0.
Martinez told the media that this victory signifies his team’s quality as there is some real team spirit within the dressing room. The club has lost 10 players this season while it has signed 8 new ones. Each new player would thus have to fight for his place in the squad.
-Wolverhampton Wanderers
Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Winger, Michael Kightly is hopeful of securing a much needed loan move to Molineux, following his omission from the side’s 25 man squad. Earlier, Wanderers’ Manager Mick McCarthy had failed to acknowledge the player’s services for his club.
The winger has already been sidelined for nine months now. In a website interview, he said that although, he was disappointed by the setback, but still he has learned to cope with it over the past year. He added that his injury was a complex one and it was very hard for him to deal with it.
However, Kightly vowed to remain positive and carry on his rehab without any pressure.
