Football Players not worth investing in
Rumours of players going back and forth between clubs are at an all time high. Most of the teams are looking to recruit players who have had a highly successful World Cup campaign like Mesut Ozil, Khedira, Sneijder, etc. However, there are clubs that are looking for a much cheaper solution in the shape of, out of form players or veterans like, Raul. Some of those cheaper bargain players might end up proving to be great buys, but chances are most of them wouldn’t. Here is a look at some players who would be currently available for a lower price but aren’t worth buying.
Roque Santa Cruz isn’t necessarily old. On the contrary he is probably in the prime of his football career. However that being said Roque is one of those players that play as though he is much older than he actually is. He’s constantly had injury problems and has fallen out of favour with Manchester City. His glory days of Blackburn are now well in his past. He is currently available to transfer for a price of eight million pounds, even though that may seem pretty cheap, Roque is still not worth the investment. He was pretty terrible for Chile and has disappointed every time he managed to play for City.
Camoranesi has been one of the greatest box to box midfielders over the past couple of years. He has also been a lifelong loyal servant to Juventus. However that loyalty has only taken him so far. Juventus are currently dangling the player in the transfer market and are looking to let him go to the first team that makes an offer for the player. AC Milan is the current favourites to sign the player but only in a player swap deal that would see Huntelaar go the other way. This would be a terrible move on Milan’s part as Camoranesi is now well past his prime and is aging fast, he is no longer the player he was. Even though on paper the deal might have seemed to be like a good one, it is by no means a deal that Milan should even consider.
Every one over the past couple of years has grown accustomed to expecting Ronaldhino to produce magic. He is now much fatter, slower and not as nimble and quick as he was in his days of glory. He still possesses great technique and can occasionally produce moments of magic. However, he is not worth pursuing by any team. He has been very inconsistent over the past and investing such a large sum of money in a player who would only have a couple of good performances would be a stupid thing for any team to do.
Craig Bellamy may not have many fans, but he is a player who has delivered numerous times in the past. He has good well rounded skill set, but he is now hitting the early thirties. What that means is that the speed that he relied on so heavily to produce all of his moments of brilliance is fading fast and he will soon not even be half as good as he has proven to be. His constant off -field antics further reduce his value. He may not be starting for City this coming season, but it is the best place for him to stay at.
