Football Special Edition: Footballers top s*x scandals
Footballers and scandals go hand in hand. It seems like that the filthy rich footballers cannot find a better way to spend the mega bucks they earn, which some can’t even earn in a lifetime.
Scandals in football have always been there but in recent years there have been so many of s*x scandals, whether it be Tiger Woods and his escapades with umpteen p**n stars, or Peter Crouch paying for a hooker’s services in Marsielle, or Franck Ribery getting treated to an underage prostitute by his French football team mates on his birthday.
There are countless examples of love rats in football but here is a list of some of the most high profile s*x scandals in world football.
Ashley Cole (2010)
Being married to somebody as beautiful as Cheryl Cole would be enough for anyone to have his misdemeanours under a strict leash but common sense and straight logic don’t apply to the insanely rich footballers.
Ashley Cole went on to ruin his love life when he texted his nude photographs along with a series of raunchy text messages to Sarah Wild, a glamour model. Sarah went public with the news, as she sold her story to the media and ruined Ashley Cole’s life.
The couple only finally divorced last week after being separated for over 5 months now.
Israeli footballers’ scandal (1999)
The world thought that Israel were abysmal when they lost a two-legged playoff against Denmark in 1999 but the grounds were somewhat different. The loss prompted criticism from all and sundry and even an inquiry was ordered.
But it was later revealed that just the night before the game at least 8 Israeli players had invited prostitutes to their rooms. A large number of condoms were also recovered by hotel staff and following the scandal 4 members of the team were suspended from the squad but were not named.
John Terry-Wayne Bridge (2010)
One of the most infamous scandals of recent times is the one involving John Terry and Veronica Perroncel. Only in January the news broke out that John Terry had slept with Wayne’s Bridge’s ex-wife and the mother of his child, Veronica Perroncel. Following the scandal Terry was stripped-off English captaincy and Bridge announced his retirement from international football refusing to play alongside Terry. There was also an incident in the Premier League match between City and Chelsea, when Bridge refused to shake Terry’s hand at the start of the match.
Ribery, Benzema and Zahia Dehar
Just over four months ago it was reported that Franck Ribery and Karima Benzema were being investigated for having s*x with an underage prostitute.
Ribery at the time of investigation admitted that he did indulge in s*x with a woman of Albanian descent name Zahia Dehar but did not know that she was underage. Benzema denied any charges of wrongdoing, and the case is still pending with the French Federal court. France winger Sydney Govou, was also part of the investigation but no charges were levelled against him.
The reported incident was that Ribery was given the prostitute, as a birthday present by his French teammates, and only on the request of the birthday boy an orgy was organized.
Oliver Kahn (2003)
It was one of the most pathetic acts by an otherwise wonderful man when he walked out on his pregnant wife to be with a 21-year-old wild party animal Veronica Kerth. The couple were also labelled as the German’s answer to England’s Posh and Becks.
Ronaldo (2008)
He was one of the best strikers of his time and so was his scandal, one of the best of that time. While other footballers indulged with women, this one chose transvestites for his escapades. Ronaldo, on a wild night in Sao Paolo brought in 3 prostitutes from the road to his hotel room, only to later learn that all his guests were transvestites dressed up as girls.
