So it is only a matter of time before Jermain Defoe gets back to full time duty in the club, he always makes a difference in the clubs outcome and this gives the team a major advantage.
Necessity
Another thing riding up the stakes at White hart Lane is that this is the first time round up to the Champions League and they have to use their stars like Rafael van der Vert and Gareth Bale really well.
As this season the chances of the Lily Whites finishing up as the top four contenders for the Champions League seem a little bleak and now they have to prove their might in the European championships if they want to make a permanent name in Europe this year.
Also a win in the Champions League will coincide with them proving themselves that they literally are one of the best in Europe as the name says it all it is the ‘Champions League’ and only the champions of every league play here and the winner is the champion
among champions.
It is true that every club just wants to win every match and win the league but Tottenham Hotspurs have a lot more to gain this season and definitely a lot more to lose.
As if they lose this season, that would most probably result in the club losing their star players and would hinder other stars from joining their ranks and would make Tottenham Hotspurs once again just a middle league English premier league club.
If they win the Champions League then that would automatically make a return trip in the tournament next season which the club desperately wants.
Gareth Bale
Gareth bale is the twenty one year old left winger that plays for the Lily Whites and the Wales national team. He started out when he was only seventeen years old in Southampton’s youth academy and after spending a year there, he made the move to the first
team in 2006.
Then after a year playing with the club and making forty appearances with five goals, he made the move to Tottenham Hotspurs in 2007. Since then he has made fifty eight appearances with netting seven goals.
He has also been a part of the Wales national team since 2006 and is a regular member of the first team national squad with having twenty seven appearances with them and scoring three goals.
Gareth Bale has been nothing short of amazing this season that he could have been all the ten reasons in this list to why the lily whites are going to win the Champions League this year.
He is a youngster that is in amazing form; he plays with the utmost consistency and is literally schooling Maicon and proving himself again and again as the better one.
The Lily whites actually got an offer of fifty million pounds for this youngster but Tottenham Hotspurs believe that he is worth much more than that and rejected the offer and kept this player for their own for the time being.
But rumour has it that if Tottenham Hotspurs fail to win either the Premier League or the Champions League this season then his move to another high profile club would become inevitable.
Grit
Grit is something that this team fall nothing short of as there has been such a long standing in the team for them to prove themselves.
They have finally made it to the European Champions league for the first time in their clubs history and ever single player in the squad has a fire in them that can only be relinquished by winning the Champions League.
