Football Special Report: 10 Reasons Why Tottenham Hotspurs Can Win The UEFA Champions League This Season (Part 1)
Tottenham Hotspurs are in their first European Champions league ever, and the fact of the matter is that this is a team that can actually win.
It is by far not one of the most prestigious clubs participating in this tournament but the Lily whites have a lot going on with them and still have the chance to come out of this tournament as the victorious winners.
Okay so in no particular order are the reasons why the Lily Whites just may take this trophy home this season:

Beginner's Luck
Tottenham Hotspurs is not a regular in the Europa league like its other contenders that are running for the Cup from the English Premier League.
Clubs like Manchester United, Chelsea and the Gunners have forced themselves as regulars in the European championships but the fact of the matter is that this is a first ever for the Spurs as ever since the European league was created, Tottenham Hotspurs have never made it to the top to participate in it.
What is left for the mind to wander with is that ‘is this a good thing or a bad one?’ It is a known fact that experience in a league only helps but you can never leave out beginners luck.
As more often than not we seem to get strung out on first sometimes but there are those lucky encounters where we are trying as hard as we can to act like complete pros and act like we belong somewhere that we actually don’t but still win and come out smiling.
So ‘Beginners luck’ is a major factor pointing in favour of the Lily Whites. This just may be Tottenham Hotspurs lucky year where all the forces in the world turn in favour of them and give them this European win for the first time ever in their club history.

Rafael Van Der Vaart

There is a famous quote about this twenty seven year old Dutch man and it goes as follows “He’s just as good as Hoddle, He’s better than Chris Waddle, His Missus is a model, and he’s Rafa van der Vaart!”
He started with Ajax’s youth academy in 1993 and after another seven years in training, he made it to Ajax’s first team. He five years with them and made a hundred and seventeen appearances, then he moved on to Hamburger SV to Real Madrid in 2008.
He moved to the Spanish Giants in 2008 for fifteen million pounds as he made fifty eight appearances with them and netted eleven goals. After another two years in the transfer summer of 2010, it was rumoured that there was a deal in the work that this Dutchman was moving to Bayern Munich but in the last few days of the Transfer window, the deal broke down and Harry Redknapp heard news of the fall out.
He quickly contacted Real Madrid and made one of the best and decisive transfers of the season when he brought in the mighty Dutch Man for only eight million pounds.
Rafael van Der Vaart was also named the October player of the month in the English Premier League; he is a player that seems to dominate every man on the field that dares to challenge him.
In spite of the fact that over the last few years the Spurs seem to have had more than their fair share of talented forwards but still this is a player that breaks those odds and brings in an entirely new level of play to the team.
