Football Special Report: Chelsea Manager Carlo Ancelotti thanking his lucky stars
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786’s manager, Carlo Ancelotti has gone on to admit that he is really lucky to still be in charge of the team. The manager came forth to say this after there were countless speculations of him to be shown the door at the club, sooner rather than later.
This was due to the poor displays that the team was putting forth of late.
Chelsea, who are supposed to be the reigning champions of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749, have managed to score only ten points from their last ten outings in the league. This poor run has seen the team drop from the top spot in the league and they are now sitting in the fifth
spot, which happens to be outside the Champions League zone.
However, the manager when asked if he would have faced the same fate in Italy, he responded by saying:
"I am a lucky man. I understand that a lot of coaches are sacked with results like these."
The manager however remained insistent that the current slump in form was only temporary and that he would much rather be judged at the end of the season.
He went on to add: "When you go to a restaurant, you have to pay the bill when finish your meal. It's the same here. We have to pay the bill at the end of the season. At the end, the club can judge me. The best food would be the Champions League. I've
tasted it sometimes and it's good."
The manager needs to however realize that if he wishes to improve the team’s current form, then he really needs to try and get some consistency in the team. Chelsea have had an almost uncharacteristic, mid-season with a number of the team’s key players picking
up injuries. As a result the team had to turn to their youth players, however they have so far not managed to live up to their expectations.
Chelsea have been linked with a number of players in the winter transfer window, for the very fact that, the team really needs to build for the future. They are currently very weak in depth and if they can’t resolve that issue, then they might not stand
a chance at regaining their dominance in England and in Europe.
