Football Special Report: Comparison between English Premier League and La Liga
Football is one sport that is practiced all around the world. Whether it is Asia, America or Europe; all the continents are involved in this entertaining sport. However, it is Europe that is famous for its club football and of course,
how they rate it so high. European teams have produced one of the best footballers in the world, even though it is Brazil that has won most of the FIFA World Cups. Brazil has been crowned champions for five times.
These leagues, in recent times, have either bought or have "created" many amazing players while they also highlight "new" football tactics that certainly do not revolve around the basic 4-4-2 formation.
European club football is doubtlessly famous around the world. Not a single league comes closer to the standard of the football which is being played in Europe. European clubs have just outclassed every other league.
Europe itself has started playing its own style of football and when it comes down to playing football at "club level," the European clubs have definitely outdone everyone in the world. The top leagues include the English Premier
League, the Italian League Serie A and the Spanish League, La Liga.
If the leagues were to be compared, then currently the two "best" and well known leagues are definitely the English Premier League and the Spanish La Liga. It is the Italians, however, who won the UEFA Champions League last year
but there is no doubt that currently, the competition in the Spanish La Liga and Premier League is simply amazing.
The Premier League is very competitive. Many experts say that it is hard to survive in the English Premier League and many have seen fabulous players going down only because the English Premier League is just too hard to survive.
Moreover, there are quality players around the globe featuring in the clubs of English Premier League. Having such talented players is just one of the reasons of English Premier League being the most competitive league in the world.
There are wild tacklers, hard teams and teams who play physically. The amount of life-lasting injuries in the English Premier League is definitely more than any other league in the world and this is only because there are a lot
of tackles flying around.
Recently, the Arsenal player Ramsey went out of action (probably for life) and this was only because a wild tackle thrown at him. Players need to be physically strong in order to even exist in English Premier League.
Players like Fernando Torres, who is actually the best striker in the world at the moment, find it hard to survive in the English Premier League. A fragile player like him or even the Arsenal sensation Robin Van Persie, cannot survive
the 'physical' side of the English Premier League.
Moreover, the English Premier League also has a lot of competition. A team that is competing for the title can easily go down at the home ground of a team that is trying to avoid the relegation zone. This is because all the teams
in the Premier League are pretty hard to defeat. All the teams try their level best to maintain their spot in top flight league.
However, since the past eighteen years, the English Premier League crown has been under the eyes of four big clubs; Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea. Manchester United is the team that has won 11 times under their
out-of-the-world coach, Sir Alex Ferguson. Chelsea and Arsenal have won 3 a piece, with Liverpool only being a threat to the other 3, as they always end up in the top 4.
