Football Special Report: English Premier League Top Ten Forwards (Part 1)
After all the Rooney debacle, all the prostitutes, injuries, the death threats and all the media circus that used to be rooted around Wayne Rooney finally seems to be moving on, as the player has signed a contract with the Red Devils to serve them best for
the next five years.
This speaks highly of Sir Alex Ferguson’s managerial skills as even if there is something ‘fishy’ behind Rooney’s sudden decision of staying with Manchester United, it is of great benefit to both the club and the Premiership.
Wayne Rooney is without a doubt one of the most talented strikers out there and definitely one of the best in the English Premier League. If this player had not build bridges with his manager and club mates and had continued his initial relationship with
the party then he may have never reached his true potential.
He may not even have been a star for the Three Lions in that situation and would have moved on to have never left a mark in the game of football.
It would have been out of the question for Wayne Rooney to get signed with the Red Devils despised rivals Manchester City; whereas the other Londoners Tottenham Hotspurs and the Gunners could not afford his fee or his weekly salaries.
This only Left the Blues where a move would have dramatically affected the careers of Didier Drogba and Nicolas Anelka, these two are also one of the most talented forwards in the English Premier League but they would have easily been shadowed by the Wazza.
Right now there seem to be numerous forwards from the English Premier League in the hot seat of the media, where Peter Crouch and Wayne Rooney seem to be there because of the wrong reasons, where as Carlos Tevez, Dimitar Berbatov and Kevin Davies are there
for showcasing their pure talents.
So here is a list of the best ten strikers in the English Premier League, who have amazing pace, skills, intelligent game play and goal scoring prowess which seems to be unmatched.

No. 10: Emmanuel Adebayor - Manchester City
You know what the saying is about Emmanuel Adebayor, “give Adebayor the ball then just sit back and watch him score.”
Till his bitter send off from the North London Gunner fans, he was a loved personality in the Emirates, as he is a player that has immense strength, the ability to score epic goals and has endless pace.
His fault came when he made some rather foolish celebrations after he scored in the match against his former club Manchester United while playing for his new team Manchester City which is an old rival of the club.
So the fans just went crazy and he has become an unacceptable figure at Old Trafford now. He also called it quits from his international career after the terrorist attacks that were made on his team in the African cup of Nations from back in January.
He still scored a hat-trick in the European championships and has scored sixty goals from a hundred and thirty five appearances while playing for the Gunners and Manchester City. He is still considered to be an unstoppable force on the team and is a vital
part of the squad.

No. 9: Jermain Defoe - Tottenham Hotspur
Jermain Defoe is the twenty eight year old English striker who plays for Tottenham Hotspurs; he has made two hundred and fourteen English Premier League appearances with netting eighty goals.
He also started his international career with the under twenty one English national team in 2001 and made the first squad Three Lions team in 2004. He has forty five appearances with them and has scored fifteen goals on duty for his country.
