Football Special Report: English Premier League Top Ten Forwards (Part 2)
(Article Continued from Part 1)
He is not at the very top to be compared with players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi or even Alan Shearer when it comes to goal scored per games played. Still at the start of the 2009-10 season, he proved his complete might to the world and proved
to the world exactly what he is capable of.
He netted seven goals for his country and club which included a hat-trick in the match against Hull City. He got named the former Portsmouth and West Ham United player of the month for August 2009.
He actually scored a goal in the first minute of the match against the Red Devils and this came from an over head goal. He also is the second player in the English Premier League to have scored ‘five’ goals in a single match that came in the fixture against
Wigan Athletic, which resulted in the match ending with the score boards reading nine to one.
He had a disappointing play in the World Cup in South Africa this summer and his injury prevented him from netting any goals in the World Cup or his recent play for the Lily Whites.
This player is expected to return for International duty and regain his might on the international game play field, as he has taken the starting spot from Darren Bent.

No. 8: Darren Bent - Sunderland
The Lily whites were ridiculed when they made a huge transfer deal with Charlton Athletic in 2007 for Darren Bent, the England team forward for an amount of sixteen million pounds.
He had only scored thirty one goals from sixty eight games when playing with Charlton Athletic, He came to be a sore disappointment with Tottenham Hotspurs as well as he only managed to net eighteen goals from sixty one start up appearances.
He tried to form a good partnership with Robbie Keane and Dimitar Berbatov but failed to do so. The whole ridicule scheme seemed to be justified when the lily whites were forced to sell him off to Sunderland after a period of two years.
Darren Bent seemed to find his best fix in Sunderland as he proved to be very fruitful there, as he netted twenty nine goals from just forty six appearances.
This player is only twenty six years old and became a part of the Three Lions in 2006 and has made seven appearances with them and netted a single goal.
He has all the qualities to become an extraordinary player in the Premiership, and is quickly becoming a crucial team for the national team.
No. 7: Dimitar Berbatov - Manchester United
Dimitar Berbatov is the twenty nine year old Bulgarian player who is a part of the Red Devils, and is quickly becoming the star at Old Trafford.
This was like the same thing as the lily Whites buying Darren Bent. Sir Alex Ferguson made a risky buy when he brought in Dimitar Berbatov for thirty million Pounds in 2008.
He has only scored twenty seven goals in seventy games while playing at White Hart Lane and this player had a chance to prove himself to the highest bidders.
He even had to face a fight to get the first squad spot as there was Cristiano Ronaldo with them at the time not to mention Wayne Rooney.
This season we have seen the Bulgarian at a brilliant form, he has taken more responsibility under his wing, has given brilliant performances, scored numerous goals and this includes his stunning performances against the Reds when he scored a hat-trick.
