Football Special Report: Manchester City in crises despite flying start to the season
Manchester City’s high flying start to the campaign has been distracted by the news that their influential skipper Carlos Tevez wants to quit the club and return home.
The news has come at a wrong time because City fans are still mourning the defeat handed by Arsenal and this will increase the uncertainty surrounding between the players and the manager.
The problem just does not end here; Roque Santa Cruze and Enammuel Adebayor have also desired to leave the club in search of maximum first team action. If the trio leaves in January then City would be left short up front.
As for Tevez, he has got fed up with his life in England because he is unhappy to stay away from his family and thinks there is much more to life than lure of money. He came close to quitting the club in the summer transfer window but shockingly stayed with
City.
It is believed that the striker has already had two burst ups with the manager Roberto Mancini over his hostile training schedule which is physically and mentally draining for the players as Tevez has openly criticized him. It would be a blow for city if
Tevez opts to leave city in the upcoming transfer window because he is one of those people whose commitment inspires the whole team to give their best.
Manchester has seen their side to go onto defeat Liverpool and Chelsea, two of the biggest sides in English football which highlight that they are serious contenders for English Premier League title for this season. But the world should not forget the fact
that it was their spending spree in the summer which has brought wealth of talent to the club.
The highly talented individuals seems to be building a better chemistry between them, as they aim towards toppling their arch rivals Manchester united as the best team in the city.
The success will be hard to come by initially but the intent is their as Roberto Mancini was seen splashing money for fun. He went onto capture the signature of Italian Mario Balotelli, Ivorian Yaya Toure, Spanish David Silva, German Jerome Boateng, Englishmen
James Milner and Robert Kolarov from Lazio.
Manchester city have cemented their place as one of the biggest clubs due to their financial muscle which saw them joining likes of Barcelona, Inter Milan, Juventus, AC Milan, Manchester United, Real Madrid and Chelsea. Dubai based Shekih Mansoor is the
man behind revolutionizing the fortune of the club. The three leagues where the transfer activity is at its maximum are English Premiership, Spanish Laliga and Italian Seria A.
If the talks of Carlos Tevez leaving are true then City could be in trouble because the Argentine has been a revelation for them netting more than twenty five goals last season. A rejuvenated Tevez is the reason for City’s success up until now. He has come
of his age after quitting United and proving the point to all his critics that he was the big deal who was not given enough chances by Sir Alex Ferguson.
In the recent transfer headlines, Manchester City have been linked with Edin Dzeko of Wolfburg, Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema, Liverpool’s Fernando Torres and Marko Vucinic of As Roma. Acquisition of one these top strikers are necessary for City if they want
to continue putting pressure on the big four.
