Football Special Report: Predicting the Starting 11 of AC Milan (Part 3)
 Andrea Pirlo (Central Defensive Midfielder):
Definitely a key player for the Italian team, in case they want to score goals. He is their set piece taker, he is their “move maker” and he is definitely someone the team can rely on. The way he takes the team along with his position in the midfield, is simply remarkable.
The Italian player has made his mark in the Italian club and even with such an old age, he can run a lot of ground to help his team win matches. Even though his last season went very quiet, he showed in the Italian fixture that he is definitely a player who just can’t be counted out.
The former Inter Milan player joined AC Milan in 2001 and since then he has been a very valuable for the Italian club. He has been such a consistent performer for Milan that has almost featured in every match that they have played, apart from injury reasons.
His ability to give through balls, take amazing corners and free kicks and also scoring goals is simply mind blowing. Of course, no one can forget his master blaster against Real Madrid last season, when he totally stunned the world’s best goalkeeper Iker Casillas by shooting the ball into the net from a shot that he took from approximately 40 yards out.
Andrea Pirlo is definitely going to feature in Allergi’s new formation, however, the new signing; Boateng is another replacement while the other amazing defensive midfielder Gattuso is also a great option. However, with Pirlo in the squad, the other options are definitely closed.
Clarence Seedorf (Central Midfielder):
A legend for AC Milan; Clarence Seedorf is a one man army when it comes down to assisting goal scorers. Who can forget the recent match against Barcelona, when it was Seedorf’s amazing volley towards Inzaghi, who simply jumped up and scored with a 40 yard shoot into the net, while Pinto was the man who tumbled back towards the net and only saw the ball rolling inside the goal-line?
Clarence Seedorf is simply a player to watch when it comes down to matches against the “big guns.” Even though it is very true that the Dutch player has lost his touch because of his age, but he still manages to do what he is required to do.
With Pirlo and Seedorf in the midfield, the Italian club does not need anyone else to help them secure a win. These two can easily make a run forward for counter attacking and they can easily move back when they are being countered.
With quick paced strikers, Seedorf and Pirlo are definitely going to prove themselves as “deadly” centre players. Their ability to make a long ball towards their strikers is simply incredible and if they find the right touch, the team is going to score a lot of goals with their help.
Clarence Seedorf might not be the first choice for Allegri because of his age, but in the big matches, Seedorf is the solution to all the problems that the team is going to face. However, Gattuso, Ambrossini and the new signing Boateng are the three replacements for his position and the new coach is definitely going to try one of the combinations.
Ronaldinho (Attacking Midfielder):
Words simply fail to describe what this Brazilian player can do when the ball is at his feet. Ronaldinho is simply a phenomenon when it comes down to playing football. The former Barcelona man has outstanding ball control and some even find it unnatural when he can simply chest control a goal kick. No one can forget his “fabulous” performance against Real Madrid last season, when they totally nailed the Spanish giants in a fight that was won by the Italian club.
Ronaldinho is naturally a left winger, but with new strikers introduced into the squad, he has to feature as an attacking midfielder. With a diamond formation, AC Milan can easily utilize all of their striking force and they can manage to score a lot of goals. Ronaldinho, Pirlo and Clarence Seedorf in the starting line-up sound simply “deadly” as all these players have the ability to score goals and give through balls to the strikers so that they can score goals.
Ronaldinho is simply a legend in the eyes of many and with him included in the squad, the team simply needs a good finisher, which they actually have added this year round and AC Milan are definitely going to prove deadly with such a good formation and quality players.
