Football Special Report: Premier League Predictions- Match Week 16 (Part 1)
Its match week 16 already and the table still look reasonably congested. We are now heading in to the festive period and teams would be looking to chop and change to keep their players fresh. Bettor.com will yet again predict the results of this weekend’s
fixtures. There isn’t an early kick off this weekend so we will start off with the match between Arsenal and Fulham.
Arsenal vs. Fulham
It is a strange time to be an Arsenal fan, one moment you will be jumping with joy but the next moment it would look all doom and gloom. Arsenal have picked up two impressive wins since their shock defeat to Spurs. However, they will be without skipper Cesc
Fabregas and the onus will be yet again on Samir Nasri and Andrei Arshavin to get the team going. Marouane Chamakh has been in good form of late. He has scored 4 in his last 4 league matches and also notched up 2 assists along the way.
Fulham on the other hand have struggled in their travels so far this season and are winless in 5 games now. If their sequence of ‘draw-loss-draw-loss-draw’ is to go by anything, than it seems that Fulham are heading for yet another defeat. Some good news
for Fulham supporters is that Mark Schwarzer has signed a new deal which will keep him off Arsenal’s clutches, at least for the time being.
Prediction: 2-0

Birmingham City vs. Tottenham Hotspur
Birmingham seem to up their game every time they play a big team and Spurs are now a day’s considered a big team. Birmingham will be in confident mood going into this game after their derby win over Aston Villa in midweek, in the Carling cup. Nikola Zigic
has been pretty ordinary for most of the season but his lucky winner in midweek would have boosted his confidence and has made him a hero at St Andrews.
Spurs have played some of the best football this season and their all out attacking play has won them many games. However, their defence is far too fragile and the absence of Ledley King and Michael Dawson and in particular, defensive midfielder Tom Huddlestone
has been a major blow for them. Summer signing Rafael Van der Vaart will be missing through a hamstring injury and Jermaine Defoe is expected to make his first start since his return from injury. Spurs are the in-form team with 3 League wins on the trot and
having secured qualification in to the next round of Champions League, they will be brimming in confidence when they travel to St Andrews.
Prediction: 1-1

Blackburn Rovers vs. Wolverhampton Wanderers
It must be pleasing for Rovers fans to see Wolves visit Ewood Park after what happened to Blackburn last week. Manchester United and in particular, DImitar Berbatov destroyed Blackburn at Old Trafford. A 7-1 score line will have its affects for some time
now. The Blackburn side which were doing reasonably well before last week’s mauling would fancy their chances against an out of sorts Wolves side. Sam Allardyce would want his players to show more desire and competitiveness than what they showed at Old Trafford
last week.
Wolves have lost 4 times in their last 5 premier league matches and they would be more than happy to get a point from this fixture. Last week they made a stunning recovery to grab all three points against Sunderland will give them much needed confidence
going in to this match. In Matthew Jarvis Wolves have a player who continues to perform brilliantly and will again be their key man.
Prediction: 1-1
