Football Special Report: Rating Liverpool’s Positions and What They Need To Change  (Part 1)
It is pertinent to clear one thing from the start; this list does not include the manager of the club. The Reds have gone through a lot and a transformation has been seen in the club, where it transgressed into one of the best clubs in the English Premier
League.
We have seen the new club owners come in; NESV has a lot to do as they have bought a club with such a poor performing first team squad and there are terrorizing pressures on the manager Roy Hodgson.
It is still unclear if Roy Hodgson will be leading the boys at Anfield till the January transfer window time, but one thing that is as clear as the sky is blue is that the club needs a drastic change.
But of course to bring such a radical change in the club, a certain influx of money is required and a lot of it.
It was expected from the start of the season and is the only way left now that Liverpool’s entry into the European Championship will have to come from the FA Cup win but that looks near to impossible with the current team.
Plus considering how the other competing teams are performing, compared to the once mighty Reds as Everton, Blackpool and Utrecht seem to be breaking all records and holding nothing back this year.
This season also saw a lot of new faces from the Red’s side as in a preseason signing came Fabio Aurelio.  Then to further add to the squad Milan Jovanovic and Jonjo Shelvey had already been arranged to come and then there also came Raul Meireles, Christian
Poulsen, Joe Cole, Danny Wilson, Paul Jones and Paul Konchesky.
Only few of them have shined playing with the Reds and only at various occasions and if anything, the club is looking weaker than last season even with all the new signings.
So here is a list where Anfield needs to push it up a notch, cut loose ends and make worthy what they already have.

Goalkeepers
Liverpool has one of the most talented goal keepers in the English Premier League, he is even considered by some as the best in the world.
This is a spot at Anfield that needs no replacing and is one of the few remaining players in the club that is always expected to play consistently and he fills this description completely.
Riena is a twenty eight year old Spaniard who is also a part of the Spanish national team and is only shadowed by the likes of Iker Casillas.
Brad Jones is Riena’s understudy, he is the twenty eight year old Australian in the team and even though he is a good player, he is not likely to see a lot of first team play anytime soon.
So at least the area near the goal post is fine for now and needs no changing.

Central Defence
When we look at the Central defences then the Reds are fine with the number of players they have for this spot.
They have Skrtel, Agger, Kyrgiakos and Carragher and these are the only senior members of the squad. There is also a young winger waiting for his name to be called and that is Wilson, there is also another flexible athlete here named Martin Kelly.
So with all these names in the team’s central defence’s it may seem that the team is more than capable of holding up the centre of the field in their favour but still the manager needs to work with them more, as the team is not coming up to the mark required
of them.
