Football Special Report: “Redknapp can be selected as the new manager for the English team” –Alex Horne
According to Alex Horne; the general secretary of English Football Association, the former English footballer Harry Redknapp is aiming to be the next manager of English national football team.
In a very recent interview, the general secretary of English Football Association Alex Horne has expressed that the current manager of the Tottenham Hotspurs football club Harry Redknapp is going to be the next English national football team’s manager. But
according to some news reports the Football Association is on the hunt to grab a new coach for the English team and the new coach might be a foreigner as well.
Currently the English national team is being managed by a veteran Italian manager Fabio Capello but Fabio’s contract with the team will expire in 2012. Therefore, the English Football Association is on the hunt to clinch a new coach for the national team.
In a very recent interview, the current bureau of the Football Association Alex Horne told the media about the contenders for the manager-ship of the English team. Alex said that Harry Redknapp is currently the top contender to be selected.
Horne said that there are almost eighteen to nineteen months remaining in the expiry date of Capello’s contract and in this time, he has to find the best possible selection for the job of the English team’s manager. Alex added that it is not mandatory to
find an English national for the manager-ship of England so they have to select from various options.
At the moment, Harry Redknapp is managing the Tottenham Hotspurs football club and so far, the Hotspurs are performing pretty well in the current season. According to some football critics, the selection of Redknapp as English team’s boss will be a good
decision as being a former English footballer Redknapp understands the psychology of the English footballers in a better way as compared to foreigner managers. Moreover, Harry’s reputation in the world of football is not under the par as well.
Alex Horne said that at the moment Fabio Capello is doing his job in an impressive way. He added that the Association selected the best option as a boss of the English team at the time of Fabio Capello and it will select the best available coach for the
team in future as well.
Horne told the media that he will finalise the selection process in the 2011 and then will present the matter to the Association for further steps. While talking about the sixty three years old Redknapp, Alex Horne told the media that the capabilities of
Harry cannot be questioned because currently he is managing the Tottenham Hotspurs football team and the performance of Hotspurs in the season is really impressive. He continued and said that RedKnapp is a superb administrator and his chances of being the
next manager of the English football team are very bright.
Alex said that Tottenham has successfully qualified for the knockout stages of the Champions League Event and is currently the fourth strongest in the group. He continued that Harry RedKnapp’s manager-ship is a strong proof of his determination and that
is why he is being considered for England’s manager-ship.
But very recently the executive of the Football Association Trevor Brooking had stated that the Association will try to find the best manager for the team and it is not necessary that an English man would be selected for the job. Moreover, Brooking had also
said that still the decision is not finalized.
The performance of Fabio Capello as the boss of the English team was not very impressive, as under his supervision the English football team showed a bleak performance in the recent FIFA football world cup. The new manager of the team will have to face a
hard time as well.
