Football Special Report: Top 10 Greatest Strikers of All Time (Part 1)
There have been great strikers in the history of the great game called football but to tag them into “10 greatest strikers” of all time is a difficult job. However, following are the top 10 strikers from bettor.com
Writing about midfielders is very hard, but writing about strikers is even harder because of how many players tried to make a name for themselves and tried to score goals. However, the list does not only include goal scoring strikers but also the support strikers.
Enjoy!

10. Romario (Brazil)
Whenever things come down to talking about football, the names of “Brazilians” are definitely included. A player, who has managed to score 1000 goals in his career, only comes 10th in this list and that just explains how other strikers have outclass talent.
Talking about the “amazing” Brazilian striker, he was simply a goal scoring machine in his time. According to the legendary player Johan Cruyff, Romario is a “genius” of the goal area. This is a tag that Johan Cruyff gave to him back in their time in Barcelona, where they played together and enjoyed successful years while playing fabulous football.
Throughout his journey in club football, Romario was able to catch up on many league titles. Romario managed to play in many different clubs and actually won a lot of silverware while playing for them. Throughout his career, he played for a lot of teams and he managed to bag himself four Rio de Janeiro State Leagues, three Dutch League Cups along with three Dutch Cups while he also managed to bag a Spanish League title, just to add a little more silverware to his career.
If it was Romario who was packing his bags with club level trophies, he just did not leave his career for club level football. He was also a major player for his country, Brazil. The Brazilian striker was a key player during the 1994 FIFA World Cup and managed to win the title as well. He has scored 71 goals in only 85 appearances, which itself a pretty good record. He didn’t only manage to win the Cup; in fact, he was also awarded with the “Golden Ball” award that is given out to the best player of the tournament. Later, he was named as the FIFA World Player of Year.
 9. Arthur Friedenreich (Brazil)
Another Brazilian who was once known as the “King of Football;” however, that tag was snatched away from him by a fellow countryman. Arthur Friedenreich definitely deserved that title, and it was all before the time of the great Brazilian striker, Pele. While Pele was not even known to the football fans around the world, it was Arthur Freidenreich who was making his name to the top by putting more goals to his tally.
During his time, the goal scoring records were not kept like today, but there is still confusion about his record. Some say that he scored 1239 goals in 1329 games, while the others claim that it’s vice versa and he managed to score 1329 goals in only 1239 games. In both the cases, the player was definitely a legend as he managed to score at least 1200 goals, and that is a record on its own.
