Enjoy!
1. Pele (Brazil)
It might not be a very wise choice to select “Pele” as the greatest striker of all time. However, there is definitely a reason why the Brazilian striker is considered to be the best at kicking the ball into the net. The reason is very simple; he is the best because “he is the best.” The Brazilian who took over his fellow Brazilian striker, Arthur Friedenreich’s name “the King of Football” truly ruled like a king during his time when he used to play football. He was simply “the best” from the time he wore his first shoes and appeared for the first time, to the time when he finally hung them up and retired from his career.
He started his career from the Brazilian club Santos and mostly played for the same club for his entire life. He bagged himself silverware every year and won a lot for the Brazilian club. Pele and the Portuguese goalkeeper Victor Baia are the two players that share the most career titles in the history of the game.
Not only he is the only player who has won most titles in the history, he is also the only player who has actually managed to win three World Cup medals. This is a record and also a huge achievement for any player in the world but unfortunately for all the players in the world, only the Brazilian striker Pele has managed to do it.
He played a huge part in the 1958 FIFA World Cup and also in the 1970 World Cup. His goal scoring tally is also unmatchable if it is compared to a regular football player. During his international career, he has appeared 92 times for his country Brazil and he has managed to score 77 goals. This goal scoring record still stands today, as no other Brazilian player has scored this many times for his country. Even with players like Rivaldo, Romario and Ronaldo, Pele’s record is simply untouchable as none of them even came close to this tally.
Pele has the highest number of goals in the history of the game, as FIFA does not recognize any player in the world who has scored more goals than the Brazilian striker. He has managed to score 1281 goals in only 1363 games, which is still a record as no other player even comes close to him when it comes to the amount of goals scored in a career. Even though he lost the “fan votes” when it came down to naming the Player of the Century award, he still managed to top it all by sharing it with the “fan’s actual favourite,” Diego Armando Maradona. Both the players shared the title; however, it is Pele who has been given the award of being the best player of all times at numerous occasions.
After looking at the record of all the strikers in the world, there is simply no doubt that, the Brazilian striker Pele is the one who tops them all and he is definitely the best striker to have walked on Earth!
