He has also been playing at national level since the under twenty team and was made a part of the first team squad for the French in 1998 and has made sixty nine appearances for them and has netted fourteen goals.
Arsene Wenger noticed this talent and brought him in from Paris Saint Germain for a price of only five hundred thousand pounds. He came to join the Gunners ranks in 1997 and after two years, he was sold off to Real Madrid for a two thousand percent profit.
However, to the Anelka fans in the English Premier League’s delight he returned the Premiership to create havoc on the football field. He went to Manchester City, Bolton wanderers, Liverpool and finally ends up in Chelsea.
He has formed an exemplary partnership with the Ivory Coast Didier Drogba, and come to a total number of a hundred and nineteen goals scored in three hundred and twenty matches played.
All of this ranks him as the twelfth ranked forward of the Premiership in its eighteen year old history.
Wayne Rooney - Manchester United
Some may say that it is kind of harsh to put Wayne Rooney at number three as many believe him to be a player only comparable to Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo. Some may even say that this is generous as he is not in his best form and has not scored a
goal in open play since March.
There has been a lot of negative media surrounding the player with his prostitute’s scandal to his comments on the team, demanding new players or seeing him leave.
Still against all odds, the announcement was made that Wayne Rooney signed a five year contract with Manchester United, this has also came with a lot of delight from the Red Devils and Three Lions supporters.
He started out with the English Premier League when he was only sixteen years old and started earning with eighty pounds a week, he then quickly became the foot balling phenomenon and sky rocketed to the top, and began earning the ‘big bucks’ when he signed
with Manchester united. He has also made his champions league debut and was also given the PFA Player of the year award in 2010.
He is still only twenty four years old and has two of the best coaches in the world keeping him focused and they keep helping him in maturing his talent.
Fernando Torres - Liverpool
This is the twenty six year old Spaniard who got transferred from Atletico Madrid to Liverpool in 2007. He came as one of the most exciting players to have come to the years in a decade. He came with a price tag of twenty million pounds.
Torres has an amazing record as from eighty six English Premier League appearances he has scored fifty seven goals. In his first season with Liverpool, he scored three hat-tricks and became the first player from Liverpool to score three consecutive hat-tricks
in around sixty five years.
He also made another Liverpool record by netting a ball in eight consecutive matches and at a very early age, he made all the Liverpool fans fall in love with him.
Sadly, for the Red fans, Fernando Torres called as a match stick player and seems to be always getting injured. He has also been a part of the Spanish national team from the under fifteen team and then made the first team squad in 2003.
He has made eighty one appearances for the first team and has scored twenty six goals, even though he seemed to be benched for most of the World Cup experience.
