Football Special Report: Wayne Rooney's Career From The Toffees To The Red Devils (Part 1)
Wayne Rooney is one of the biggest names in football these days, especially as the Red Devils strikers has become one of the most highest paid football players in all of England.
Almost every fan, if not every one of them knows a lot about him, or at least they know his history from his time with Everton, his recent scandals and better yet his new dealings with Manchester United.
So here is a quick and short review into this player’s life:
 
Wayne Rooney Enters in Everton
Wayne Rooney joined Everton’s youth academy in 1996 and climbed to make the first team in 2002. He has always played as a forward on the football field and his hometown is Liverpool.
He even used to play for the Liverpool School boys. He went into the Everton youth academy when he was only ten years old and matured and grew up there.
After six years of training, he made the first team Everton debut and it seemed like he would never leave them.
 
First Premier League Goal Against Arsenal
On the nineteenth of October 2002, he netted his first ever goal which came as a winning goal against the Gunners and Everton won the match beating Arsenal’s winning streak which had given them thirty unbeaten fixtures.
Arsenal was also the League title holders at the time and this score made him the youngest goal netter in the Premier League of the time.
 
BBC Sports' 2002 Young Personality of the Year
After Wayne Rooney’s performances against Arsenal that broke title holders winning streak and his normal skills on the fields BBC went onto award Rooney the 2002 BBC Sport Young Personality of the Year award.
 
Rooney: Almost Complete For Everton
The eighteen year old Wayne Rooney kept showing his form with consistency and kept getting even more serious on the football field. He showcased his amazing pace, extraordinary skills and became one of the most beloved players at Goodison Park and one of
the favourites for the Toffee’s fans
 
Wayne Rooney: From Everton To Man Utd
At the end of the 2003-04 season, there was a contract misunderstanding and this ultimately led to the ill fated relationship of Wayne Rooney with his club.
This created bridges between Rooney and the Red Devils and ultimately led to the player being signed to Manchester United in the summer transfer window of 2004 for a whopping twenty five and a half million pounds.
This did break the hearts of numerous Toffee fans but still they had to make do without their star the next season.
 
The Memorable Debut For Man Utd
Wayne Rooney made his Manchester united debut on twenty eighth September 2004 and this is an unforgettable day for him.
He ended the match by scoring a hat-trick in a UEFA Champions League fixture against Fenerbahce and gave the Red Devil’s a six to two victory and this made their rankings rocket in the tournament.
 
No Cups in First Season at United
Sadly, his first season at Old Trafford ended without a league win and Manchester United found them on third place in the English Premier league. This was a sad end to the season as the Red Devils had always been the champions or runner ups of the Premiership
since 1992.
They even failed to go further than the last eight in the UEFA Champions league as well.
The club was also very unsuccessful in the Carling cup, but they also had some bad luck as they lost against the Gunners in the FA Cup finals as they lost on penalties.
