Football Top Fives for October 28th, 2010 – Part 1
Top Five Premiership Teams Right Now:
Chelsea is on the top with thirteen points in their last six matches. They are the defending league title holders and continue to amaze with their level of play as they again easily rolled out of the ground after playing Wolverhampton Wanderers with a score
of two to nil last weekend. In the second spot is Manchester City with also thirteen points in their last six fixtures. Despite a sore loss at the Stadium of Lights to Gunners last weekend, the Citizens are almost first in place and working hard to beat the Blues to the finish line
this year. Then comes West Bromwich Albion, the newly promoted team in the English Premier League. They still continue to impress and go against the odds as these new comers came in and beat Fulham in their last match on their own home ground with the score board
reading two to one in favour of the away team. The Lily Whites are fourth and have made eleven points in their last six matches. They are running their unbeaten streak to three after the draw they had with Everton on White Hart Lane where the match ended with a score of one to one.
The fifth spot is filled by Gunners as they made ten points in six games and now are leading the catching race to the Blues. They won their last match against Citizens with a score of three to nil in favour of the Gunners and this was Arsenal’s second win
in a row.
Top Five Football League Teams Right Now:
On the first rank comes Cardiff City which is a Championship team and have made sixteen points in their last six. Known as the Bluebirds they are in their best form and are speeding towards the title win while knocking everyone out of the way. They have
won four matches in a row, and this has resulted in them being tied at the top with QPR.
Next is Portsmouth which is again a Championship team. They too have made sixteen points in their last six matches and the Pompeys are rising fast and hard. They have gone unbeaten in their last six fixtures and are three points away from the Playoff position.
Then it is Bury, a League Two team that made sixteen points in the last six and have landed themselves with three wins in a row. Continuing its form at this level may just see Bury promoted to the higher leagues this year.
On the fourth rank of this list comes Brighton and Hove Albion. They are from League One and have made fourteen points in their last six, also bagging a home win against Yeovil Town with the score board reading two to nil in favour of the home team.
Last comes Southampton on the fifth spot of the list. They have made thirteen points in their last six fixtures and are continuously trying to pull themselves higher in the league as they are only four points away from being promoted.
