Football Transfer News: Blackburn http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ronaldinho-c31733 signing improbable
Critics are labeling the Blackburn Rovers boos Steve Kean with a publicity stunt but the manager has stated otherwise after his admittance it being unlikely for Ronaldinho to join the English Premier League.
Manager Kean is reported to have said that though the club tried its utmost and sincere efforts in acquiring the Brazilian legend from AC Milan they have to admit defeat in acquiring him.
He stated this in his latest press release admitting it is highly unlikely for Ronaldinho to stage at Ewood Park. Sources have revealed that the club was ready to offer as much as 20 million Pounds in order to secure his services but they weren’t luck enough.
Later on the offer went up to 26 million but it will be the reluctance of Ronaldniho to join the club that will play as the deciding factor here rather than the will of Reds and Blacks.
Earlier it was said Blackburn and their manager weren’t worth much and were poor investors in the club which built up the main reason behind their lack of lustrous performances.
Also Blackburn desperately need a good midfielder in their ranks who could not just help the ailing midfield but also the poor attack of the club. Hence, they made an ambitious bid for Ronaldinho.
The Chairwoman of Blackburn Rover’s Anuradha Desai is quoted to have said earlier on the issue, “I'm quite positive and hopeful. From what we understand, he is keen to play in the Premier League.”
Nevertheless the most recent press release has brought out, “Over the last 24 to 48 hours it has become less likely. I don't think this is one that was for publicity. It was a genuine contact, a genuine intent.”
Nonetheless pundits have predicted that Kean will be looking to add about 2 to 4 new players in his squad in the January transfer window hence it will interesting to see what will replace his ambition now.
