Football Transfer News: Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho not to spend in January transfer window
Jose Mourinho, the Portuguese manager of Real Madrid, has just announced that he will not be able to bring new blood to Santiago Bernabeu this winter in the January transfer window. This news has baffled many experts, as
given the current circumstances at Real Madrid, they desperately need to sign in a top class striker up front.
Mourinho has stated in the past a desire of acquiring a forward who can replace Gonzalo Higuain. At the moment, there is very little chance that Mourinho will be willing to put the club’s fate in the hands of the French prodigy
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Karim-Benzema-c20350, who has so far proven to be unreliable with his performances this season.
Speaking to the media, Mourinho stated, “I have great hope, but I do not think I will get anybody. I talked to the president a couple of days ago, and so far nothing.
“The club, after last’s years investments, want to continue but it cannot be any player. I get paid to work and try to make the most of the players that I have available. There are many very good players, but unfortunately
there is only one fit striker, and that is Karim.”
“I understand that talk will continue until the end of January because the door remains open until then, but this is the group that will continue until the end of the season,” he added.
Mourinho, however, did admit that if the injury and form problem continued at Real Madrid he will be forced to reconsider his decision. He also said that though the club had many rising talents like http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Álvaro-c5280 Morata to join
the attack at Madrid, they were not yet ready to enter into the first-team.
Mourinho concluded by stating, “The day we do not have Benzema, we will play another system. Against Levante, it will be Karim that plays. Morata is not ready yet to start matches. He will train with us and it's important
that we improve him.”
