Football Transfer Update: Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas on possible move to Inter Milan
The Arsenal skipper, Cecs Fabregas is involved in a new rumour of a possible transfer to Inter Milan. Media reports and flags from around the block are linking the star with a possible move to the Nerazzurri.
However, the world class midfielder’s agent Darren Dein has stated that there is no evidence and it was highly unlikely that the Spanish star would make such a move.
Experts are commenting that his lack of denial proves that there is something going on behind the curtains at San Siro and North London.
Certainly, Inter Milan has been very quiet about their signings this summer and they are looking forward to sign midfielder in the team. Just as its happening, it would be advisable for them to plan the bid for Fabregas in achush hush situation and reveal at the very last moment, to create lesser fuss and outrage.
The outrage won’t be seen just by the Gunners fans but by Barcelona and all their associates, as they have been trying to acquire the coveted midfielder since the start of summer.
Arsenal fans would also be outraged but then again they were anguished at him leaving for Barcelona too. This time however, they will be even more infuriated as the Spanish star had admitted he would be staying at the North London.
Barcelona happens to be Fabregas’ child hood club, a club that he only left because he didn’t have enough time on field to shine. Arsene Wenger picked him up from there at Arsenal and brought him up to become the player he is.
When Fabregas demanded a transfer from the English club manager, to his old home in Spain, Wenger was infuriated and matters between the player and manager went for the worst. Finally, after long drama which only had a break during the World Cup, the men have set their differences apart and decided that Fabregas will play for Arsenal this season.
Nevertheless, reports from Italy are piling up that Fabregas might be making a transfer to the Champions League winning club. Fabregas after all had admitted that he would like to be at a trophy winning team. Arsenal won their last major trophy 5 years back and it was the FA Cup of 2005. It was also one of the reasons why he wanted to make a move to Barcelona, while he is at his peak of performance at Emirates.
The most prominent report emerged a while back when Massimo Moratti had reportedly taken out an insurance plan for Fabregas ahead of a speculative arrival. However, any concrete hopes have been broken up by the agent, who said there was no chance of a last minute switch to Inter.
Agent Darren Dein stated, “Fabregas leaves Arsenal for Inter? I don't believe so. For now I cannot comment on this further.”
