Football Transfer Update: Blackburn Rovers interim manager Steve Kean eager to sign David Beckham
The interim manager of the Blackburn http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749
skipper http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/United-States-c3034.
Major League Soccer is off season until March, and Beckham is interested in making a loan move to the English Premier League in the meantime. The former Manchester United star has, however, also said that he will only return to
the Premier League if he gets to play for the Red Devils. But that is an unlikely scenario, given Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson’s recent dismissal of any suggestions that 35-year-old Beckham will make a comeback to United. “I don't think so with
David at his age,” Ferguson was quoted as saying by Sky Sports. “I have never signed a player at that age have I?”
There are, however, a few other clubs who are interested in signing Beckham, and the superstar seems to be pondering over the options. It will not be his first loan move to Europe either: in 2009 and 2010, Beckham joined AC Milan
on loan while MLS was off season. Other clubs besides Blackburn who are reportedly interested in Beckham in this year’s winter transfer window include Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle.
43-year-old Kean, who is the Rovers’ manager till the end of the season, told the
Lancashire Evening Telegraph: “I think we will sign at least three, possibly four, we might have one on loan – at least at this stage that is the way it is looking.

“We are allowed one more domestic loan because we have [Mame Biram] Diouf on loan from Manchester United and two foreign and that should really move us forward because we have so many players out.”

“The list has gone in so we will see what comes back and how we are going to move forward. We would like to do it early. It will probably be after the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 game. We are close to signing two, possibly three, although the third is the outsider.
“Hopefully talks can continue and with someone like Beckham, someone will get a good player if he comes over here. And if he does come back to this country, he is someone we would be interested in.”

Earlier last year, Beckham was forced out of the 2010 FIFA World Cup in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fabio-c13152 Capello and earning a spot on the national
team in Euro 2012.
