Football Transfer Update: Edin Dzeko’s Agent reveals Juventus transfer hampered due to Serie A regulations
Agent Giacomo Petralito of Wolfburg’s star performer Edin Dzeko has just given a stunning press release in which he blames the rules and regulations of Serie A as the root cause for Dzeko’s transfer failure
to Italian footballing giants Juventus.
The news stated that Edin Dzeko would have joined the Italian outfit had it not been for the objections laid down by the Italian League that prevented the deal from materializing.
Now, the highest goal scorer of Bundesliga, Dzeko is on the verge of receiving a confirmation from his new club Manchester City, but that is after he clears his medical examination, which will obviously
happen.
The Italian club is sure to miss the services of Dzeko, as their unimpressive attack needs some lustrous strikers up front. However, according to regulations of Serie A, only 1 non-EU player can be signed
by each club in a season.
In Juventus’ case, they had already acquired the services of Milos Krasic in the summer transfer window. Hence, there was no place for Dzeko on the squad of Vecchia Signora, at least until next summer.
Amidst this saga, the world-class footballer had done enough waiting after he sent a 48 hours deadline to Juventus. As the call of duty did not arrive from Juventus, Dzeko went ahead with his decision
of joining Eastlands.
Petralito commented on the issue, “Juventus could have signed Dzeko, but he didn't want to wait until June. The clubs had already reached an agreement that Dzeko would be allowed to move in January, but
the absurd rules of the Italian FA prevented the move from happening.”

He added that though his client was willing to make a move to Juventus the adverse regulations have proved a fate otherwise, “Dzeko was really interested in moving to Italy, but unfortunately Italy doesn't like the idea of having world class players in Serie
A. By having this absurd non-EU rule, Italy is only damaging its own league.”
