Football Transfer Update: Juventus make surprise move for Atletico Madrid forward Diego Forlan
Latest media reports from Italy have confirmed that Juventus are looking forward to sign in Atletico Madrid star Diego Forlan.
It has also been reported that Forlan’s agent is talking to the club officials. Hence, it seems like the speculations will soon turn into reality.
Juventus have been looking to add a well-reputed striker to their ranks for some time now. Despite his age, the Uruguayan footballer has barely been out of form. With Juventus’ unpredictable streak and sheer bad luck, the FIFA
2010 World Cup star, who also went on to win the Golden Shoe Award seems to be the perfect player to be signed.
The 31-year-old striker’s agent, Daniel Fabian Bolotnicoff has been the main force behind this push. Apparently, the player and his agent are extremely interested in the move.
Media sources revealed that negotiations have started between Bolotnicoff and Juventus. Moreover, Bolotnicoff was a special guest of the Old Lady when he was called to headquarters of the club in Turin.
Nonetheless, so far it is still not clear whether a transfer or a loan deal will be offered for Diego.
It is anticipated that talks will revolve around Forlan’s demands mostly. However, Pundits have predicted the General Director of Juventus, Giuseppe Marotta to present a transfer deal.
A 3-year deal with a transfer fee of around €13.5 million may be tabled, which will be paid in three instalments that accounts for €4.5 million annually.
While these dreams continue to build skywards, the question remains as to how exactly will the once great footballing powerhouse be able to sum up an amount of €14 million. Having already declared to be on a tight budget this fall,
no one had expected them to do any spending in January’s transfer window.
Experts are predicting that in order to achieve this ambitious task they will have to off load a couple of players. For instance, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Marco-Storari-c23751 could all be endangered with a move out of the club.
