Football Transfer Update:
Manchester City looking to sign Barcelona’s Spanish midfielder Andres Iniesta
The latest reports from Manchester are that the Blue and the Red part are ready
to raid the Spanish Champions Barcelona.
Both rich clubs; Manchester City and Manchester United have shown interest in
Andres Iniesta and Dani Alves.
Both Catalan players have been instrumental in the successful campaign of Barcelona
and it is expected that they will have to agree to every whim of Blaugrana if they even want to sit at the table to talk and negotiate for them
Last season Barcelona recorded an impressive position in the Champions League
and won the La Liga title yet again. With the recent five nil hammering of Real Madrid one can state that Barcelona is certainly a super team, hence both the first team players who happen to have joined Barcelona a long time ago and have grown great loyalty
would be very reluctant to agree to a move.
City of course with their rich owner Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed al Nahyan and the pampered Italian manager, Roberto Mancini will be looking to win the table with money when they place a bid for the Spanish super star Andres Iniesta. The midfielder was the person
who also scored the final goal that led Spain to victory in FIFA 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
It is rumored that Eastlands will be willing to pay as much as 85 million Pounds
for the player that has been in Barcelona all his life.
Iniesta started his career at Barcelona in 2001. He played in the B team back
then but in 2002 he started featuring the first team. So far Iniesta has participated in 332 matches for the Catalans and scored 28 goals.
He has capped 54 times for Spain and scored 9 goals. In 2004 Iniesta also made
an appearance for Catalonia.
Experts and pundits have stated that it will be very hard for Iniesta and Barcelona
to convince the player to leave home and play travel to Eastlands a place that is already in turmoil because of internal conflicts.
