Football Transfer Update: Manchester City’s Brian Kidd unable to confirm signing of Wolfsburg’s Edin Dzeko
Assistant Manager of Eastlands, Brian Kidd continues to emit an aura of confusion on the signing of Wolfsburg’s star striker Edin Dzeko.
It has been speculated since long that the rich Citizens are ready to buy in the coveted forward from Bundesliga. The Bosnian gun has often been hailed as the next big thing to hit the field therefore, the Italian manager Roberto
Mancini has also informed of his interest in signing the prolific striker.
Dzeko has matured in time to become a wanted player hence many big clubs are after him. Earlier, during the summers, rumours were rife of Dzeko joining another big club; however, with the transfer window closing it seemed like
it will be another season in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904 where Dzeko will gain the title of being the top goal scorer.
Now, reports are emerging that Manchester City are preparing a 30 million Pounds bid for the striker. However, when Kidd was questioned about such developments the official was reluctant in confirming the news.
While talking to media he stated on the issue, “At the moment it is just speculation, the window hasn't opened. It's the usual story isn't it, 'No buy, no sell, no tales to tell'. At the moment it's just speculation with a lot
of players being thrown in the pot.”
However, at that moment Kidd was aware enough to comprehend that it was Mancini who really made the decisions of who comes and goes.
Kidd commented on the issue, “There is only one man who decides that, and that's the boss (http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mancini-c23323). I don't think it's right to speak about other players at other clubs.”
At the instant, Kidd, however, did confirm that Manchester City will be open for business and scouring the market for talent in the winter transfer window.
Kidd added, “We know we aren't the finished article, even though we are playing quite well. The boss will want the best because he wants to be a winner, and the club want to be a winner. We will explore every avenue.”
