Football Transfer Update: Real Madrid Offers Kaka For Ibrahimovich
There is a little time left before the start of the next season, while many teams are making adjustments in their squads for the upcoming battles in La Liga. The biggest adjustment for Real Madrid was the signing of a new coach, Jose Mourinho. Mourinho is a defensively oriented coach; hence, a lot of signings were expected from him, in order to improve the defence of his Madrid side. However, the only major signing from Mourinho was Angel Di Maria, the Argentinean youngster. Apart from that, the Madrid has almost kept quite over transfers, except for a few speculations in the market.
Now, Madrid has offered Barcelona a unique switch, i.e. Ibrahimovich with Kaka. This is totally unexpected of Mourinho to get into yet another attacking signing, when his team’s own defence is in real trouble. Actually, both these players came into La Liga, from Serie A, last summer, on heavy prices. Both of them have failed to live up to the expectations of their fans and clubs. Therefore, it is not surprising that Madrid wants to get rid of Kaka; however, switching Kaka with someone who is again not in form could cause Madrid trouble.
Mourinho was there in Inter Milan when Barcelona offered Ibrahimovich and Etto switch. In addition, Barcelona agreed to pay extra money to Inter Milan. Mourinho, at that moment, said that this was the best deal he could get. Now, Mourinho is in Real Madrid and he wants Ibrahimovich back. There is a lot of tendency in Mourinho to get hold of the players from his old clubs, for his own sake. These players already know a lot about the tactics and games, so less work is left for the manager to do. When Mourinho went to Inter Milan, he wanted to drag Drogba and Michael Essien along with him. Recently, he wanted Maicon and Milito, from Inter, to join him at Real Madrid. This might be the reason that Mourinho wants Ibra back, as the Swede has always performed well, while playing under him.
Kaka, usually, plays on the left side or the centre of the pitch, which means that Angel Di Maria would now get more playing time, if Kaka leaves the club. The real problem for Kaka, right now, is that he is not trusted by his manager. In the previous season, Kaka did not perform well at all, and he failed to do so again in the recent World Cup, for Brazil. Although, he was one of the best players in the World, however he is losing that edge. Now, he is no more a prolific goal scorer, or a great dribbler of the ball. He hardly makes any assists during the match, or he does not bring any kind of influence in the game.
Similarly, Ibrahimovich has been a disappointment for Barcelona, as he has failed to shine as well. Although, he did start his La Liga season very well, with goals in every match for the first seven matches, but soon he lost his touch. Ibrahimovich missed a lot of goals, throughout the season, thus, failed to do his job. He was brought in by Pep Guardiola, as he had good aerial abilities, but the decision turned out to be wrong. Now, Barcelona might want to get rid of the player, but Ibrahimovich was more expensive than Kaka, which would mean a loss for the Barcelona.
Real Madrid might not realize it, but they would need Kaka in their squad. Madrid already has goal scorers in the form of Higuain and Ronaldo, while they do not have quality players to play the role in the midfield. In the absence of Kaka, Madrid might not be able to challenge the authority of Barcelona, as they would be outplayed by the Catalunyans in the midfield. However, with Kaka in the midfield, they can at least hope for a good performance against the stronger oppositions.
