Football Transfer Update: Santos transfers and Neymar’s move to Chelsea
Neymar Da Silva Santor Junior or most commonly known as Neymar is a Brazilian Footballer born in Mogi da Cruzes; he currently plays for Santos and is on the Brazilian National football team.
However, the best part is that he was born in 1992 and that makes him only eighteen years old and on the national team.
Chelsea apparently seems to be in love with this youngster. Neymar has received numerous offers from different clubs and this includes a fifteen million euro offer from West Ham and another for twenty five million Euros.
Santos FC, the club for which Neymar currently plays with, refuses to let him go and says that they will not let their young star go with such a low transfer price.
Neymar is known to almost everyone as the guy who never loses a chance. Neymar made his debut in the World Cup scoring in the First Brazilian match of the tournament and made the first goal making it Brazil’s first goal in the 2010 World Cup.
Neymar is surely one of those players that make their country and their jersey’s proud. When the Brazilian team played a friendly against the United States, this gave Neymar’s representatives a great opportunity to have a sit down with the representative of the English club.
It is safe to say that Brazil won that match and Neymar had a major role to play in that win. The eighteen year old has a dazzling performance and seems to impress everyone. He is being called one of the best things to have come out of Brazil in a long time.
It is rumoured that there was a dinner attended by Chelsea’s president Bruce Bock, Santos President Luis Alvaro Oliveira Ribeiro, Neymar’s agent Wagner Ribeiro and Neymar’s father. It is believed that Chelsea offer has been accepted by Neymar and his representation.
It is said that Santos will receive an offer from Chelsea of something around thirty million Euros. Neymar and Chelsea have agreed on a contract and now they are just waiting for Neymar’s club Santos to get back to them before they can finalize the deal and make an official statement.
Some rumours are also floating about that Santos is going to sue Chelsea for delinquency in negotiation with Neymar’s representation.
Santos still remains strong on the point that they are not going to let Neymar go for anything below thirty five million Euros.
Most people don’t know about this but Neymar is only owned by Santos by 60 percent and the remaining 40 percent rights to Neymar are with an investment group called DIS.
This issue is expected to be solved swiftly and quickly, as even the EPL does not allow third party ownership of a player’s rights. Therefore, something will be done about him quickly as almost everyone wants him.
Adding Neymar to any club assures their club a lead role and if the initial team is good enough a win in the under nineteen tournaments.
Santos seems to be refusing all other offers being made for Neymar and is hoping that Chelsea really does come through for them.
Santos seems to think that Chelsea will definitely offer a lot more money when the transfer windows will be about to close and this strategy may prove to be beneficial for them as well.
With a lot of transfers going around, Santos may just lose all its top four players before the end of the season. These include the clubs top cream and the names are firstly Neymar, Ganso, Andre and Robinho.
With Robinho already receiving a call back from Manchester city, and Andre on his way to Dynamo Kiev, Santos is trying to avoid the mass departure of talent from their club. This has the team worried that it may result in the club being relegated to Brazil’s second division.
