Football Transfer Update: Wolverhampton Wolves interested in signing former player Robbie Keane from Tottenham Hotspurs

Reports have concluded that Wolverhampton Wolves are trying to sign in their former players Robbie Keane and Joleon Lescott in the winter transfer window.

The 30-year-old Robbie Keane used to play for Wolves back in 1997 for two years. From there he made a switch to Coventry City in 1999. In the period he was with Wolves, he scored 29 goals in 87 fixtures.

Keane has barely been fielded this season therefore the player is growing fast out of favour which has made him realize that he is wasting what has been left of his career. Therefore, Keane and his agent are looking for teams that might be interested in signing
him.

At Tottenham there is a long line of players that have to go through in order for Keane’s number to come on field, so a transfer without a doubt will be a wise choice for the Irish international who has capped for his country 104 times and scored 45 goals.

After his career at Coventry City, Keane went onto play for Inter Milan for a season after which he was sent on loan to Leeds United in 2001. In the following season of 2001-2002 he was bought by Leeds but his career there too lasted for just a year and it
was Spurs who picked him up in 2002.

He stayed with them till 2008 after which Liverpool bought him. In 2009, it seemed that he wasn’t settling well with the Reds, so in 2009 Spurs bought him back.

With such an uncertain career so far, there is a strong possibility Keane might pledge to Wolves. The Irishman’s future at the moment is quite uncertain but one can presume that the winter transfer window might hold some answers for him.
