Football Transfer Update: Wolves willing to sign ex-players Keane and Lescott from Spurs and City (Part 2)
Keane’s days with Nerazzurri were cut short as just after a season the player was sent back to England. It was found that Keane played best in England, therefore he played for Leeds United in 2001 on loan.
His performance with Leeds was impressive hence after the 2001-2002 season the player was bought by Leeds United. Unfortunately for him he later found out that his career was not stable as just after a season the Keane underwent another switch of team which
saw Tottenham Hotspurs acquiring him in 2002.
With the Whites, Keane had a comparatively longer session as he lasted till 2008. It was Liverpool that bought the player from here but bad form and Keane’s inability to settle down saw him being traded off once again.
It was a surprising move in the beginning by Spurs when they sent off their star player but many admit that the decision was influenced by the money Reds were offering. In 2009 the player was brought back Spurs and from then up until now he has never been
able to show his old form.
At the moment Keane is a shadow of his former self therefore much can’t be commented about his future; however there is strong possibility for the Wolves transfer to happen.
For Keane the winter transfer window will hold many answers about his fate in football. Sadly that can’t be stated for the English international Joleon Lescott.
The 28-year-old defender is valuable player to have on team and the reason behind that is the Lescott’s versatility to play as a defender. The player is an asset as he can feature as a centre back and as a left back. This is also one of the reasons why Eastlands
have Lescott in their team.
However, Citizens' plan for the player are intruding and harming the career of the Birmingham born Englishman. Presently Lescott has found it hard to feature in the first line up of Manchester City.
The reason behind that is the number of talented players with in the squad. With a squad as gifted as all star players in the team are having troubles to feature as a regular.
Just because of this, there are many other players in the squad of Manchester City that are reckoning with a transfer request. Experts have clarified that Eastlands bought one too many players with their gold and now they are having troubles in keeping happy
all of their players.
The present Italian manager of Manchester City Roberto Mancini has stressed that he indeed has to make tough decisions when he has to field a team of eleven and as a result of this he realizes that not all of this players get a chance to feature in the first
squad.
The 28-year-old Lescott has now a decision to make if he wants to remain at Eastlands. If he does want to make his way out then the January transfer window will be his perfect ticket to freedom.
