Football Transfers: June 26, 2010 - Spurs in double deal, while SWP is shown the door

Tottenham hot spurs have started negotiations for Palermo duo, Simon Kjaer and Edinson Cavani. The accumulated price for the pair is estimated to be around twenty eight million pounds. The Danish born defender Simon Kajer is also being tracked by Manchester City, which can only spell bad news for The Spurs.

Tottenham are also being linked with Mexican winger, Pablo Barrera. Barrera had initially been linked with United. He is currently being used as a super sub by the Mexican international team in the World Cup and his performances have started to catch the interest of many clubs. The Mexican has gone ahead and admitted his desire for playing in Europe, after saying he likes the variety with which they play football there.

Sahun Wright-Phillips, is demanding a hundred thousand pounds a week to remain at City. But Mancini has recognized the player to not be a part of his plans for the future and has said no deal to his demands for this pay increment. With the likes of Yaya Toure, Boateng and Milner on their way to the Eastland’s, Wright- Phillips might be amongst the likes of Stephen Ireland and Craig Bellamy who are being shown the door by the club.

Birmingham have re-ignited their interest to sign Milan Jovanovic, after his allegedly proposed move to Liverpool seems to be on the verge of a breakdown. This happened after the player said that he doesn’t need to play for a club he doesn’t want to and can choose to end his agreement as he pleases.

Fulham have realized that the threat of their first choice goal keeper, Mark Schwarzer to join Arsenal might be quite significant. They have entered the market and placed a bid for relegated team Portsmouth keeper David James. Portsmouth were well aware of this threat for their shot stopper and Are currently working a play and manage contract for James in hopes of retaining the player.
