Football Update: Aaron Ramsey to Return to Arsenal
The French manager of Arsenal, Arsene Wenger has claimed that he will not extend Aaron Ramsey’s loan at Nottingham Forest but has insisted that Carlos Vela could be loaned in this transfer window.
Arsene Wenger allowed Aaron Ramsey to join the Reds in order to rebuild his match fitness after recovering from a double leg fracture injury. The talented Welsh midfielder of Arsenal was injured in a match against Stoke City back in February of 2010. However,
it took Ramsey 9 months to recover from that injury, and in the late November, he was loaned out to Nottingham Forest.
Unfortunately, for the returning http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Aaron-Ramsey-c3065, the recent cold snap has prevented him from having much of a first team action with Nottingham.
Last Wednesday, the Welsh midfielder started against Derby which was also his first start for the Reds. However, Ramsey will play one more game with the Forest before his loan deal ends on 3rd January.
Moreover, Arsenal manager also acknowledged that he would have liked to see Ramsey play more games in his short-loan spell, with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Abou-Diaby-c3453 injured recently with a calf problem, the French manager of the Gunners’ insists there is no chance of extending Ramsey’s
loan deal at Forest.
Arsene Wenger told Arsenal’s official website "We did not get the number of games we wanted from him because of the snow. But I am not tempted to do it [extend the loan]. If Abou Diaby was not injured I would certainly have considered it, but not now.”
The Frenchman insisted: "Aaron is not completely ready yet but he has been practising every day with the group for two months. I hope that when he comes back he should be ready in February."
However, Arsene Wenger is ready to let his young Mexican striker, Carlos Vela, to go on a six month loan to any other club in order to attain some playing time.
Arsenal manager insists Vela would be benefited from the regular playing time, with his way to Arsenal’s first team currently blocked, and has paved the path for Vela to go elsewhere for the next six months.
Wenger added: "Some offensive players don't play games, like http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Carlos-Vela-c8558. If he can get games somewhere else we will loan him out. Not sell him, loan him out because he needs to play. He is a top quality player and at the moment we have too many strikers.
He does not get the games he deserves. He has an opportunity that I let him go somewhere."
The Gunners are currently placed third in the league standings with 36 points to their credit out of 19 league games.
Arsenal has drawn their last match against Wigan Athletic at DW Stadium. However, they will play their 20th League match today against Birmingham City at St Andrew’s Stadium.
