Football Update: Barclays Premier League Brief News, Manchester City and Newcastle United
MANCHESTER CITY
The former Arsenal player and legend, Patrick Vieira, is not happy with his lack of playing time at the East Lands this season. But the former French international understands the need for competition at Manchester City. Roberto Mancini landed the experienced
midfielder from Inter Milan at the start of 2010 but Vieira has failed to engrave his name in the starting eleven of Manchester City. Though Patrick Vieria has been a regular in the European Competition for Roberto Mancini this season, he has hardly featured
in the domestic league. The Frenchman has made just four appearances in the Barclays Premier League, and Vieira’s only start came in a draw against Blackburn Rovers in which he was the only goal scorer of the Manchester City.
The Italian manager of Manchester City, Roberto Mancini has countless choices in the centre of midfield and Patrick Vieira agrees some players will be disenchanted to be playing marginal roles.
Vieira said: "Yes, of course, I'm frustrated, but I'm not the only one," said Vieira. "When you see the squad and how big it is, of course many players will be disappointed and frustrated not to play that often."
Manchester City are placed third in Barclays Premier League, sharing equal points with Arsenal. Roberto Mancini and his men have managed 32 points out of 17 Premier League games.
The Blues won their last match against West Ham United at Upton Park by three goals to one, thanks to Mancini summer signing Yaya Toure who scored a brace to seal all three crucial points for Manchester City.
Manchester City will welcome David Moyes’ Everton on Monday at City of Manchester Stadium for the Eighteenth round of Barclays Premier League.
Moreover, Manchester City are comfortably through to next round of Europa Cup. However, they will visit Italian Giants, Juventus, tonight for the last match of Group stage.

It has been confirmed that Newcastle United will play against Stevenage for the third Round of FA cup on Saturday 8th January. The match will start at 5.30pm and will be shown live on ESPN.
Newcastle United won their last match against Liverpool at St Jame’s Park by three goals to one. The win over Liverpool took them to the eighth place of the League table. They have scored 22 points so far in this season out of 17 league games.
