Football Update: Barclays Premiere League News- Chelsea and Stoke City
CHELSEA
Jeffrey Bruma, who is Chelsea reserve defender, insists he wants to spend the rest of the season on loan but admits the Blues may not want him to go. With Chelsea’s talismanic skipper and defender John Terry suffering recently from a sciatic nerve problem
and another centre-half Alex already sidelined for eight weeks, Chelsea are short of cover.
Jeffrey Bruma said that he is definitely interested in going on loan at least for a season. He added: "I don't really know what Chelsea want, though. I'm not the type of person to step up to the manager Carlo Ancelotti to say that I want to leave. That
just feels a bit strange. I'd be quite happy with a loan move, though. We'll have to wait and see what happens in the next few weeks."
Chelsea are currently placed fourth in Barclays Premier League table with 32 points to their credit out of 17 League games.
The Blues will welcome Premier League’s only unbeaten team of this season, Manchester United, this Sunday for an exciting 18th round of Barclays Premier League fixture. Manchester United are one of the strongest contenders to win Premiership this
season, as they are leading the table with 34 points and along with that Manchester United also have one game in hand.
The match between Chelsea and Manchester United will take place at Chelsea’s home, Stamford Bridge. Chelsea’s home form is very impressive in this season, as they have won 6 matches, drawn one match and lost one match so far in this season at Stamford Bridge.
However, Chelsea’s recent form has not been very impressive as they have drawn 3 matches, lost 2 matches and won only one match out of recent six matches. Out of 18 possible points, the Premier League Champions have managed to get only 6 points.

STOKE CITY
The Stoke City manager does not see any of the teams in the demotion zone as being in serious threat yet. Tony Pulis said:
"If you look at the table I think it is a lot closer this year than it has ever been - certainly in my time in the Premier League. Two wins for the bottom three clubs could almost put them in the top half of the table, so I don't think anybody is adrift
or away from it. It has made it tougher this year for the clubs that are below the top six or seven.”
Every team is fighting to stay in the league and the points that the three promoted clubs (Newcastle, West Brom and Blackpool) have taken has also brought everything closer together. He further added that it is going to be a tough old season.
Stoke City will visit Emirates Stadium to play against Arsenal for the 18th round of Barclays Premier League. The Potters are currently placed at 12th spot in Barclays Premier League table with 21 points to their name out of 17 League
games.
Moreover, Stoke City lost their last match against one of the newly promoted teams of Barclays Premier League, Blackpool, at home by one goal.
