Football Update: Blackburn Rovers looking to make a move for Charles N'Zogbia
It has been reported that Blackburn Rovers are looking to make a club record deal, in their attempt to land Wigan's want away striker Charles N'Zogbia.
Blackburn seem to have been handed a handsome amount of money to spend in the January transfer window by the teams new Indian owners and it seems the first player that the team are looking to land is none other than Wigan's local French man, N'Zogbia.
N'Zogbia has often described his discomfort with being a Wigan player and was in the past linked with countless moves away from the team. The latest of which saw him be linked with a nine million pound move to Birmingham City. However, the move failed to
materialize and the player ended up staying at Wigan.
Wigan recently tried to offer N'Zogbia a contract extension but the player went out and said no thanks to the team, as he turned down the opportunity to extend his stay at the club. As a result, Sam Allardyce is looking to land the player and hopes that
the factor that Wigan could potentially lose the player for nothing would help motivate them into selling him in January.
Allardyce has often expressed that the one thing his Blackburn side lace is pace and he feels that the addition of the French player could prove to do the trick that he has been hoping for quite some time now.
However it appears that Blackburn are not alone in their pursuit to land the player, as Liverpool are also reported to be fancying their chances to landing the pacy French player in the winter transfer window. Roy Hodgson has been reported to want to land
a pacy winger and with Ashley Young appearing to be out of the teams reach, it seems like the manager is also bound to make a move for Wigan's want away player.
According to experts, if both the teams are to make a move for the player, then despite Liverpool struggling so badly this season, the player is bound to make the move and decide to join Anfield over Ewood Park.
