Football Update: EPL News- Chelsea star Lampard ruled out of Manchester City clash due to slow recovery
Sources have revealed that Chelsea’s heart in the midfield Frank Lampard is set top miss the Manchester City English Premier League clash this Saturday.
There is news that the player is facing problems in his recovery period from his injury and therefore he will not participate in the match. Some reports suggest that he will be out for 3 weeks.
It has been informed that due to obstacles in his injury’s rehabilitation process, the world class midfielder will not participate in the following 3 fixtures of the club.
Lampard’s recovery problems, have not been unheard of previously on a couple of instances the re-emergence of the English international has been delayed until the team management is a 100% sure that he is in full health to play.
From what has been heard it can be told that the 32 year old is suffering from an aggravation in his groin muscles. Earlier due to a groin injury in a training session, the Englishman was advised to rest.
Later reports revealed that Lampard had reawaken his old groin problems and therefore was deemed benched. In recent times, England’s star midfielder has been suffering a string of fitness related problems.
His manager Carlo Ancelotti has stated that he is though disappointed in the exclusion of Lampard, his team he believes they can handle the pressure set by Manchester City. Nevertheless, he added that Blues will certainly feel his absence and his talent
would have helped on field.
The former West Ham United midfielder has last played for Chelsea in the encounter against Stoke City which they won by 2 goals. During the match, Lampard stumbled of the pitch because of the injury.
He has just recently had a surgery to fix his hernia problems. It was said that he will be ready to make an appearance against his former club Hammers earlier in the month.
He so far has performed brilliantly in the English tournament, having already scored and assisted for goals in the League.
The medical team that has is examining the coveted player has stated that the player will not be able to play in the following 3 matches.
This Saturday Chelsea is travelling to play against this Saturday. After that, they will host the match against Olympique Marseille at Stamford Bridge. It would be the Champions League bout after which the Blues will have to face another great challenge
and that would be against their North London rivals Arsenal.
