Football Update: EPL News- Kenny Dalglish determined to turn Liverpool's season around
Kenny Dalglish is ambitiously planning to restore Liverpool to its former glories by rediscovering the club’s finest footballing traditions instilled in the Merseyside club by Anfield luminaries http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Bill-c7610 Shankly and Bob Paisley.
Losses to Manchester United and Blackpool FC in the FA Cup and Premier League respectively, followed by a keenly fought draw in the Merseyside derby against Everton, have not deterred nor dissuaded Dalglish’s belief that he can instil the club’s famed footballing
principles on this much maligned group of players.
The Scot suggests the brand of football ingrained in him by the aforementioned Anfield demigods, Shankly and Paisley, have not left him despite his years away from the Liverpool dugout.
More pertinently ‘King Kenny’ suggests such high standards are attainable again, if the whole club are united in the same direction.
Speaking about the great traditions of Liverpool, Dalglish told press at Anfield:
“Well it has never gone for me.”
“It would be nice if we could get back to that, on the pitch especially. Pass and move isn't old fashioned, it's the Liverpool way.”
He further stated that this is the way he was brought up and he doesn’t think it could change and he feels that's the way the players would like to play as well.
"It's great for the fans to watch and you can't underestimate their role in it as well. If the players know that the fans are behind them it doesn't half help them. Everyone has to play their role."
Dalgish probably has the most difficult job in World football, turning fortunes of sleeping giant of English football around. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 has been less than impressive so far this campaign after a summer of change with Roy Hodgson replacing Rafa and ownership
changing hands. But Kenny is determined to bring the best out of his exciting players
He went on to say that their main duty at the moment is to lift the fans. If the staff, the owners and everyone else sing from the same hymn sheet, then he’s quite determined that happier days are ahead.
"The sooner we start winning games the sooner we can look forward and upwards. I've really enjoyed being back. If other people are getting the same satisfaction out of it, then fine but I'm sure we'll all be happier once we start winning games."
