Football Update: Euro 2012 News- France versus Romania – Preview (Part 2)
Malouda has stated that the French team is ready for a revival and spectators at the Stade de France will not be disappointed. He elaborated that the team has evolved and with the likes of Yoann Gourcuff and Samir Nasri he hoped that the team will more creativity
in their plays.
The 30 year old Malouda also collaborated that the French defence will be helped by Philippe Mexes therefore the Frenchman can bank on the team this time. Blanc will certainly be focusing on improving each and every player on the field, therefore helping
the team be better competitors; this is exactly why he is often regarded as a technical coach.
Romania on the other hand will certainly be looking forward to target the weaknesses of French and one sore place on that list will ironically be the legendary French wing. They better impress their fans too as their form has hit an uncharacteristic downfall
in recent time.
In Euro 2012 qualifiers, they have drawn their first two fixtures against Albania and Belarus so a victory at this point is becoming vital if they want to proceed to the next level. They have been able to produce good results in the past as 16 years ago
as the Tricolorii were able to reach the quarter finals of the mega event at United States of America in 1994.
Back then, they were lead by the legendary player Gheorghe Hagi however, since then they have not been that same old footballing power. They have a few talented players in the squad and therefore they will have to look forward to the team chemistry they
have developed in order to win.
Their key players are Cristian Chivu and Ciprian Marica and if they are able to perform fro their country then Romania stand a better chance against France to win the match.
The average age of the Romanian team is 26.6 years, so they lack a bit in the experience department. France on the other hand though has a new team but the have skilful veterans at their disposal and therefore will have a heavy advantage against them.
The man to watch from France will be Samir Nasri and the French manager Blanc certainly thinks along those lines too. He has also expressed that Gourcuff also has the potential to shine therefore he will be looking forward to the duo to shine in the match.
With a formation of either 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3 it is expected that an exciting game will be witnessed. Nasri will certainly benefit from these strategies as he will get his desired time in the midfield as well as the opportunity to control the ball as well
as pass it, which he is so good at.
His impeccable ability to perceive a pass and his communication with striker Karim Benzema will play an integral role in the match. If Nasri stars in the midfield then a lot f technical play will be seen therefore dominating the ball will be the French plan.
Blanc has stated in relation, “When you play with team-mates who have the same technical sensibility as yours, there is always an affinity.”
