Football Update: How Milan can change the cause of the Champions League
AC Milan has always been a very tough side when it comes down to competing against them in the Italian League or even in Europe. AC Milan started as a club back in 1899 and in the next year, they were crowned as the Italians Champions. This was not only because they were a tough side, it was also because they had players that were required to make a “perfect” team.
This is just like this year. Milan has been able to buy a few fabulous players to help the team become a dynamic goal scoring machine and many fans are still talking about the fact that AC Milan might be having the best striking force with them.
They have bought a few players this year to change the cause of the game and to change the cause of the Italian League. For the past 5 years, the Italian club and AC Milan’s city rivals Inter Milan have been winning the Italian League Serie A. This year, however, things might change for them as AC Milan have brought in the players that are required to win the league and they might also do wonders in the Champions League even though they are paired up in the deadliest groups.
AC Milan possesses amazing defensive players as they have the Italian legend Nesta and the upcoming Brazilian defender, Thiago Silva. With these two playing as centre backs and with two amazing side backs like Luca Antonini and Odou, the team has become a powerhouse at the back and they are capable enough to defend any attacking force at club level. Teams like Barcelona are definitely going to give AC Milan a tough time, as they still require pace, but Italian football is famous for its slow and “easy” footballing techniques so it is definitely not going to be difficult for AC Milan to adapt.
In the midfield, AC Milan have brought in Prince Boateng but with Pirlo and Seedorf in the squad, the team definitely needs nothing else. Pirlo and Seedorf are very famous for their amazing through balls and long balls that they have been providing to their strikers so that they can score goals. Moreover, such players are also famous for their long shots and Seedorf is definitely considered to be one of the best long ranged shoot taker in the world. Moreover, Pirlo is also a great set piece taker along with a long ranged shoot taker. He can simply score goals with his amazing flat footed technique and he can help the team win matches. Who can forget the goal he scored against Real Madrid when he totally stunned the best goal keeper in the world, Iker Casillas?
With “amazing” players like Pirlo and Seedorf in the midfield and with amazing replacements like Gattuso, Ambrossini and Boateng on the bench, the strike force is nothing less. The Brazilian legend Ronaldinho along with the other two Brazilians Robinho and Pato, they are definitely going to be a deadly Brazilian alliance. Robinho is famous for his amazing goal scoring technique along with his amazing passing ability and with Pato on the right wing; these three are definitely going to come out with flying colours.
Just to add to this “deadly” attacking side, Ibrahimovic is going to provide them with the finishing touches, as Pato, Robinho and Ronaldinho are going to help the “sole striker” score some goals. Moreover, the Swede is very experienced when it comes down to Italian football and he surely knows how to add goals to his tally when he is left alone up front.
Even though AC Milan are in the hardest group, the “Champions League Specialists” are going to show the world what their newly signed experienced players can do, when they have the ball at their feet. The deadly attacking force is going to thrash the teams that are going to fall in their way and the new coach Allegri is going to utilize all the players to help his team perform well in the Champions League.
AC Milan, even though have been out of the Champions League race for a long time, this time round they are going to change the cause of things and they are definitely going to be title contenders, as they have pace and experience, both, on their side.
Can AC Milan win the Champions League for the 8th time to come close to Real Madrid's record of 9 wins? Well, there is definitely a possibility.
