Football Update: Jamie Redknapp approached by David Beckham
Tottenham manager, Harry Redknapp has revealed that his son and former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 player, Jamie Redknapp was approached by L.A Galaxy star David Beckham and believes that the former Manchester United man is keen for a move to Tottenham. Harry Redknapp also
admits that he is ready to sign the England star without ever seeing him play for the MLS side.
Rumours have already been suggesting that David Beckham himself is ready for a move to White Hart Lane but Harry Redknapp is still waiting to hear if Beckham’s current side will be willing to let go of the midfielder for a loan move.
Harry Redknapp is also refusing to rule out the possibility of signing the LA player if he turns out to be a success in the northern parts of London. Redknapp has also repeated that his decision to bring Beckham on board was a purely footballing reason.
Harry Redknapp himself admits that he hasn’t seen Beckham play in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/America-c38390 but still believes that Beckham will play well if he decides to come to the White Hart Lane. It might be a good decision to bring Beckham who has a natural ability to produce an inch
perfect cross and with Crouch around, Tottenham might be able to get a few goals out of him.
Redknapp also explained how he found out about Beckham’s interest to come to London.
"He spoke to my son, to Jamie, about it and that's how it all came about. Jamie rang me, said he'd spoken to David Beckham and would we be interested because he'd love to come and play at Tottenham. He just said, 'I'd like to come back and play and I'd
fancy playing for Tottenham, because I like the way they play'.''
Beckham’s roots are actually from North London as his father was born there and he was brought up in London before leaving for Manchester United as a 12-year old. Beckham even went close to play for Tottenham but chose Manchester United. But even with these
things, Tottenham will be facing some stiff competition from other suitors.
