Football Update: Juventus Interested in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Andrea-Barzagli-c5669
Andrea Barzagli is rumoured to be transferred to Juventus who are keen on negotiating with Wolfsburg on possible contract. The 29-year-old, centre-back is now seeking a return to his home land but the question remains will it be possible. Reports suggest
that the player is keen to play for Juventus and will be competing with Giorgio Chellini and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Leonardo-Bonucci-c22064 for the starting line-up if the move materializes.
"I don't know anything about the details of the negotiations, the two clubs are speaking and then we'll see what happens", Barzagli said. He’s been part of the Wolfsburg team for couple of years now however; financial conditions will dictate what
happens from here on. Wolfsburg so far have not been having one of their best times on field. So far, they have played 17 matches making the statistics read:
Four victories, Seven draws and Six defeats.
Meanwhile, Juventus coach Luigi Del Neri is very keen to bring the experienced Italian international to Turin. Neri is looking to sort out his side’s defensive woes which got Juve hammered by Palermo and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003 4-1 and 3-0 respectively. Andrea Barzagli transfer
will definitely help Juve in their defensive midfield with his tactical approach in plays.
Andrea Barzagli started his professional career in the 1998/99 season with Rondinella Calcio. His start was exceptional in Rondinella as he appeared in 51 matches and scoring 3 goals before moving to Serie B side A.C. Pistoiese in 2000/01.
His stay with them was short as he rejoined Rondinella Serie C2 in 2001/02. He then joined Ascoli Calcio 1898 in 2001/02 and played 46 matches in the two seasons he stayed for them.
In 2003/04 he was transferred to Chievio for one season. Palermo purchased Barzagli in 2004/05 and groomed till he showed world class talent. He was selected in the Italian squad for the World Cup 2006 http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904, eventually coming back with World Cup glory.
Finally 2008/09 he was transferred to Bundesliga giants http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/VfL-Wolfsburg-c40881.
